The NAM has officially bought in on the snow.
This is the very best of news. I can barely contain my excitement.

With NAM being in board, I really think these nut accumulation totals may be accurate.

I wouldn't be shocked if BR, Lafayette, and to the Northshore gets 6" for the low end total.

Yall all make fun of how us in north Texas handle snow. Good luck this week. The whole state is going to shut down

Can you imagine going over the Lake Charles bridge?

I got 6" of snow last week and there is still some not melted. It is going to be super cold this weekend and early next week here in NW Arkansas. It is 18 right now and the high is forecast to be 23. It gets into the single digits tonight and tomorrow night.

The bridges will be shut down. I imagine I-10 will be shut down for most of the state Tuesday through Thursday afternoon. Anything that melts Wednesday will just refreeze quickly.

Glad to see NAM and ICON on board. All systems go. Now I just hope we don’t have any last minute sudden north or southward shifts.

We have a school group scheduled to travel by charter bus from St Bernard to Dallas on Thursday.

Does this look possible at this point?

They don’t compete until Saturday morning so taking this bus on Friday is a possibility, just would lose out on a fun day.,

If they leave a day late so be it, just trying to make plans

Baw, don’t they have trees in snowy climates?

Different trees. The pine trees in south louisiana cannot handle the weight of snow. Many limbs will fall and bring power lines with them. I’ve personally witnessed it every time it snows here

Sorry for the dumb question, but are we out of the woods of this being a big ice event in south La.

A foot of snow in the basin.

IB4 Crawfish prices skyrocketing.

But anyone wants to go ice fishing in the basin.

Also, will the dude that was going run from I-12 to Fairgrounds if it snowed, will he live up to the bet?

Every model is showing snow to the coast as of now.

You may start with some sleet/ice but should transition pretty quick

Absolutely. When we got 6.5 inches in Hammond back in 2008 they were snapping left and right.

Homeowners wishing for massive snow amounts won't be so excited by Wednesday as the effects start costing you money such as roof leaks, power outage, tree damage, plumbing issues etc.

A bunch of local Catholic schools (NOLA) have bus trips headed east that are supposed to leave 6pm Tuesday. Now they saying they might leave at noon on Tuesday.

Does anyone think this is possible or wise?
