Nah dude, don’t you know that everyone in here wishing for it actually caused it to happen!? It wasn’t going to snow without this thread.

Once in a lifetime snow event and you are bitching? LOL - YOLO bro and you can’t take the money with you. I’m cooking, watching football, kids are home from college, me and wife are off until Thursday, fireplace going and side by side gassed up with snow sleds - bring on the 12 inches .

Apparently it’s going to destroy everything like Katrina.

Chief, it doesn't matter what anyone roots for regardless. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen

Whether people wish for it or not it's happening.

Doomers are such miserable people.

If it was inches of ice ok I get it. But it's freakin snow in the deep south and people are doomcasting like a cat 5 is coming.

I've seen accumulating snow twice in my life here. Roads were closed for a little while.

Who said I can't afford insurance premiums? I'm tired of paying for other people's claims who are too incompetent to handle their own problems.

Agree! This will be a mess unfortunately. And homeowners insurance will continue to be a huge issue.

I’m sad that it appears I will end up with very little to nothing out of this system. You folks in the impact area enjoy it!

What damage does snow do to homes? I’ve been in up to 15 inches at one time in snow and other multiple inch snow events and never had 1 issue with home or insurance. My word.

That's because Joe somewhere knows he has roofing problems and is hoping something like this blasts through so you have to buy him a new roof on your insurance. You're a responsible person who probably proactively handles things like this instead of waiting for someone else to pay it for you.

The NAM has officially bought in on the snow.

We were told to ignore the NAM

I'm still not getting my hopes up. Expecting a light dusting and not much more than that. Slush/ice more likely

None

People here act like a nuclear bomb is going to go off and level everything

It will be a nice snowfall, a nice day off of work, and just stay off the roads until it melts

Probably, it does on normal days why wouldn’t it for this?

It does nothing to homes unless too much in weight accumulates on the roof (so you’d need to shovel your roof) or if ice builds up and backs up under your shingles. No chance there will be enough snow or cold enough long enough for that to happen.

A little bonus, if you have bad insulation in any areas of your attic this will expose it. The snow will melt where the heat is escaping.

So my whole life I just leverage the fun I have vs what another SOB might do? If my rates go up $10 a month - frick it - this isn’t a hurricane. When I was 12 it snowed in NOLA and I had never seen it before - I remember the day vividly to this day. It was awesome.

Power goes out over there on a beautiful day. I'd make sure to have PB&J ready to go just in case

Hoping the snowfall pans out

Being a lifelong resident of BR LA always wanted to experience One Blizzard ...as long as we kept power.

30mph Wind Gust with Sideways Blowing Snow.....

Looks like the Gulf Low will be perfectly placed for the I-10 corridor to be in the Bullseye??
