Seems to have been a slight shift to the north. Shreveport has gone from 30% chance of flurries to 50% chance of 1-3".

You'll have to put it in an ice chest at night to keep it from freezing

Better than the summer hurricane alternative
Snow totals for the Houston area are trending up. 6z Euro and GFS showing big numbers.

Just picked up a Kellers king cake. Going to work on my chicken stock this afternoon. Going to cook a gumbo Monday evening.
My favorite thing to do is let that pot simmer for 8-10 hours and then be able to just set it outside overnight in the freezing temps. Then start again in the morning. Those flavors really get to know each other over night in the magnalite.

This thread has a better lineup of things to be cooked than the WFD threads on the food board.
Y’all sound like you’re ready.
Good luck and hope everyone keeps power !
If not HTS will see if there is a need somewhere but getting there might be the difficult part (towing 15,000# trailers through ice). And even if we got there would road conditions allow people to come to us for food. Hopefully roads stay clear and power stays on.

Made a deer chili last week. Did short ribs in the slow cooker yesterday. And have a stash of Kartchners boudin balls and smoked boudin in the freezer.
