Wasn’t random shots, he was in the middle of a gunfight and wrongfully lost sight of the perp initially. When he reengaged he only saw the other subject running away and that’s what his brain associated as the threat that was just shooting at him, but the perp snuck around the back of the explorer.

40 arrests? fricking FORTY??? And 23 of them felony arrests? And then this piece of shite opens fire on cops with a two month old baby in the car?
This is an indictment of the justice system (sorry, “justice” system) if there ever has been one. Every lawyer, judge, and/or jury should be on some kind of hook for this incident. I mean, fricking forty times this a-hole was arrested. More than half for very serious crimes. And he’s on the street. And the worst part is you know there are some idiots defending his actions here, and their vote counts the same as productive members of society. Disgusting.
I’m just glad he apparently ran out of bullets and couldn’t fire anymore when he ambushed them from behind. That was poor tactical effort by the cops to allow that but I’m glad it ended okay for them. And good on that one that came in blasting the perp until his gun was empty.
