I enjoy their early stuff, but let's face it... no one was waiting at their keyboards to jump on front row tickets for a reunion tour.

Darryl Halls "Live from Daryls House" was a awesome series. We listen to it weekly.

I dont know what is behind the issue with them but Daryl Hall is a hell of a musician and collaborator.

always thought they were in a homosexual relationship.

The song "Rich Girl" was inspired by a rich guy actually.. Daryl Hall was dating a girl that had a rich ex ( Daddy's money) but Hall thought the lyrics sounded odd if he was singing " Your a rich boy and youve gone too far..".

Is there anyone in the music industry who ever had a weirder ambiguously gay put-on than those two dudes?

This was the only other one that came to mind immediately.

Me too. They butchered their own music. I was in shock that they wouldn’t just play it the way it was recorded and successful.

Yes I get the meme.

Usually when people use "morans" they use it differently than he did.

99% of people know that, but I'd wager 99% of people think Hall & Oates is the name of the band.

What's your stance on "Eagles" vs. "The Eagles"?

I've never heard anyone refer to the band as just "Eagles".

These two morans are like the Gallagher brothers (formerly in Oasis).

Or The Beach Boys where the least talented one Mike Love got the rights to the band name so he could tour w/his version of the band. They got back together for their 50th anniversary to make their first album in decades and did a huge tour. The moment to tour was over Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, and Blondie Chaplin found out they’d been fired when Love put out a press release on his new tour w/The Beach Boys that was starting two weeks later.

They actually refer to themselves as “the eagles” sometimes. Heard one of them say it promoting their new tour on the radio a couple weeks ago

Daryl Hall doesn’t seem to understand that in fame, it’s not necessarily who did what, but who got known for what. I’ve watched many episodes of Live from Daryl’s House to know he’s a really talented dude. But the bottom line is that he got roped into all the fame side with John Oates. So now you gotta deal with it.

There’s no outshining the fact that you’re the blonde dude from Hall and Oates. What did you think you were gonna get out of this?

Saw that on youtube. Hall did a session with Tommy Shaw of Styx. Wow!. He can still belt it. Shaw, however, absolutely owned it. That mine still has a set of pipes on him at 70. A good channel to watch.
