shite like this makes it reaaaally difficult to want to move back.
Makes me beg for halcyon days of Mitch Landrieu. Say what you will, but NOLA in 2010 - 2018 was awesome and things worked.

Love his sandwiches. That fricking douchebag though would tell you it was an “involuntary donation” to the more needy though if it happened to you

Mitch bears a ton of responsibility for the way the city is today. I’m not making excuses for Latoya because she’s a dumbass, but she also inherited a terribly run city hall and all other departments. He’s largely responsible for the current state of NOPD as well.

The good news is everyone in the city is sick of this BS.

You can’t be this shortsighted....really? Mitch and his ilk bear as much responsibility for the current shitshow as the buffoons currently fleecing NOLA.

People who own property in the city. People who live in the city. People who own businesses in the city. People who work in the city. There are more groups who have the right to call the city "theirs" that I have not enumerated, but none of them include milquetoasts who moved to another state because they were scared.

Anyone who still voluntarily lives in that city basically has diminished intellectual capacity. They lack the ability for basic pattern analysis, risk assessment, and miserably fail at prioritizing the safety and well being of their families. They are nothing less than fools. Imagine being smug about living in a total shite hole. You can pretend the benefits outweigh the costs, but only a jackass actually believes that.

That sucks for Dan. He's a good guy with a sick sense of humor. He'll probably tell his patrons that it was just another night behind the counter
