Well, someone needs to shoot him again.

Sounds like she left her kids in the car with the keys and a loaded gun.

"Carjacking a vehicle with two toddlers in it ain't no reason fuh my boy to get shot in the head."

You forgot that they were toddlers and she had a loaded gun in the car. I man, fantastic that she was able to defend herself and her children. But maybe this lady shouldn't be taking care of kids.
And is clearly a terrible shot so not very good with the gun.

The woman jumped into the passenger side and asked him to stop. When the man refused, the woman pulled a gun from the glovebox and shot the man in the head, according to police.
I wonder if she saw him get into the vehicle and then decided to jump in the passenger side, knowing she had a gun.. Or did he threaten her to get into the passenger side?
If she decided to jump into the passenger side, knowing she had a gun, that is a pretty bad arse move. The jackass probably saw her and thought she would be an easy target.
But if you are going to carjack someone, why do it at a gas station? If they don't see you when you get in, if you are in the driver seat, then there is a good chance they will see you on the way to your vehicle?

I will take "Criminals aren't geniuses" for $1,000 Alex.

What's the problem with her having a loaded gun in the car?
Article said gun was in glove box. Not like it was left in the back seat within grasp.
What's your problem with her taking care of kids?
If you had said, she left them in an running unlocked car, at night, in a shady part of town then i could see a possible argument.

You leave a toddler in a car, you aren't doing a good job as a parent. I mean, this is pretty much a prime example that it could definitely happen to you, so don't just assume it's not big deal to run into the store.

You going to take the chance that a kid doesn't know how to push a button and open the glove box? I have guns, I've had my concealed permit, and used to keep a gun in the car regularly. I have a 3 year old and that thing stays locked up if I don't have it. Kids can get into way more than we think. I constantly worry about my son getting to stuff like that (deer camp, in laws house where FIL keeps guns, etc.).

You’re right. That’s why when I have kids, I’ll leave my guns in unlocked cabinets.

She jumped in the back seat and told him to stop. When he didn't she reached into the glove box and got the gun.

“I should have just have emptied the whole clip but I didn’t. I didn’t. I just wanted to give him a warning shot that was it,” she said. “I’m not a killer or anything like that, but I do believe in defending what’s mine.” The mother said she had just put the gun in the SUV hours before after her husband helped her with reloading. “I told him that I needed some bullets for my gun and he told me that he was going to go get it.”
This happened in a pretty rough part of dallas. I personally wouldn't have stopped at a convenience store down there and I have 2 projects being built within 1 mile of where this happened...will probably make a site visit tomorrow.

"I should have just have emptied the whole clip but I didn't. I didn't. I just wanted to give him a warning shot that was it," the woman, who did not want to be identified, told KTVT-TV (Channel 11). "I'm not a killer or anything like that, but I do believe in defending what's mine."

Well, that is a letdown.
The woman would have had to live with that and the kids would have witnessed a killing. Killing a person is no small matter. It is probably better for those involved that the guy lived.

You should never leave young children in a car.
Stupid woman.
Stupid woman.

She needs more practice. Should have been a double tap to increase the chances of hitting his golf ball sized brain.
Or after they hit the pole she should have stuck gun to his temple and made sure he was dead.

Youall keep saying this. Let's look at it another way.
Two small children, locked into child seats in the back seat of the car.
Time yourself just getting one sleepy child out of the car, open door, bend over, mess with belting, lift child out of car, carry child around to other side of the car, repeat, carry both into the service station, hassle with your purse, ballancing two kids, just waking up and maybe whineing.
By this time your activities have attracted potential perps, and then you have to get them back into their seats.
Easy purse snatching. Easy money, oh, they wanted the car?
