That would suck arse if you have a landscaping business. Running around with 40 different battery packs all day

Gonna be a pain in the arse for a bunch of crews trying to cut 15 yards in a day with an electric mower and battery weed eaters and blowers.

The battery powered lawn equipment makes just as much noise
Not even close. My neighbor is retired from running landscape crews. He had a commercial lawn mower and blower that was loud as shite. He has just bought an Ego mower and blower and they are much more quiet. I can hear the blower but it doesn't sound like a jet taking off next door like the gas powered one.

Thick St. Augustine lawns will win that battle.

they'll get exemptions I'd bet, just like they cities, and HOAs apparently, are exempt from watering restrictions

And people actually believe Texas will secede.

Posted on 11/29/22 at 12:16 pm to SPEEDY
they prepared to buy them, as well as pay for the lawn maintenance businesses that go under? Because this constitutes a constructive taking.

All leaf blowers should be banned.
Use a rake or a broom you lazy fricks and quit annoying everyone within a half mile radius with your 120 decibel pussy arse blower.

At what point do Texas cities lose their appeal?
Not that cheap/affordable at this point
Progressive politics
Rising crime
Increasingly looking & feeling like LA/SanFran

How many city officials do you think are California transplants?

Citing health, noise and environmental concerns,
What are the health concerns, aside from hearing loss or mutilated body parts, both of which can easily be avoided by not being stupid?
Noise concerns is just stupid. Lots of other things are noisy as well. Why is that an issue? Everything needs to be quiet now?
Environmental concerns is likely the main blow hard culprit behind this crap. There's a multitude of reasons why any carbon emissions from power equipment is negligible. It's not even negligible, it's simply a non-issue.

Landscaping companies are going to have to run generators to keep their batteries charged.
This has absolutely nothing to do with noise. People have been using gas powered lawn equipment for 50+ years.

>Not that cheap/affordable at this point
Compared to what? Definitely cheaper than cities of a similar size
>Progressive politics
Again, compared to what?
>Rising crime
As is happening all over the country
>Increasingly looking & feeling like LA/SanFran
Lol.

I remove the mufflers off of all my equipment just to annoy the neighbors.

This. This policy would also disproportionally target hispanics who own the majority of landscaping companies and would have to buy all new equipment. So essentially, Dallas hates hispanics.
