Dallas could ban all gas-powered lawn equipment to address noise, environment concerns
Posted by SPEEDY

Using gasoline-powered lawn mowers, leaf blowers and other landscaping equipment could soon be illegal in Dallas.
Citing health, noise and environmental concerns, Dallas officials are developing plans to phase out the use of gas-powered tools for city departments, contractors, businesses and residents by 2027 or 2030. The ban would mandate use of alternative devices, like ones powered by electricity.
The city is hiring a consultant group to help flesh out a transition

Seems all of those California transplants didn't leave their political agendas behind when they moved to Texas after all. Whodathunk.

Knowing our city gov, they'll likely see this as a sign to mimic for Houston

The people of Dallas have been pushing for this for several years.

There are a bunch of posters on here who constantly bleat that it is just the conservatives moving.
Bunch of morons.

Enjoy your new California government.

Is it that hard of a pill to swallow that your homegrown texan middle class suburban folk have essentially turned the state purple?
Y'all aren't sick of all that racket? Definitely some people in Dallas who could stand to do some intense raking, too. Do we need a fancy gadget for everything?

When every house in every neighborhood has a different Mexican lawn crew, then their blower battles can get heated.
I’ll never understand why it takes them 20 minutes to blow off a small driveway and 40 feet of sidewalk. All day, everyday all you hear in many neighborhoods is blowers.
