Cracker Barrel has permanently closed its remaining restaurants in the Portland area.

A spokesperson for Cracker Barrel confirmed the closure of their Beaverton and Tualatin restaurants on Monday, citing the pandemic.
The popular restaurant chain with a Southern country theme joins Walmart in closing its Portland-area locations.

Earlier this month, the retail giant announced its last two stores within Portland’s city limits would close by the end of the month.

“We are saddened that we have been unable to overcome the impact the pandemic had on our business and have made the difficult decision to close the Beaverton, Tualatin and Bend locations,” a Cracker Barrel spokesperson said.

Is Cracker Barrell good or am I influenced by nostalgia when eating there?

Depends on what you get.

They do breakfast well. I’m still a fan of their chicken and dumplings. But most of their entrees and sandwiches are meh.

If you live near a Buc-ees, you’ll never go back to Cracker Barrel. Don’t you Louisiana guys have Buc-ees?

And also pretty affordable - compared to other non-fast food restaurants

Well, people get what they want, so they don't get walmart or restaurants. I'm okay with it. They are getting what they are behaving like they deserve.

Definitely influenced by nostalgia. Food is mediocre at best.

I’m still like their breakfast, but it’s kind of hard to frick up breakfast food. It is overpriced though. Lunchbox and dinner menu is not that good, or wasn’t as good as I remembered last time I ate it.

I’d rather go to Waffle House.
