Yes. Very.

Do you know how much that costs to make yourself?
Ingredients alone for that are less than $3 per serving.
I bet I could cut That down to $2 per serving If I raised my own hogs for the pork, chickens for eggs, and milled my own flour

I didn't know they had stores outside the US.

I am generally not a big fan of chain restaurants, but Cracker Barrell is pretty solid.

It's decent food at a decent price. I always leave full and satisfied, never stuffed and never super impressed.
It's just solid.
And the four of us can eat, tax and tip, for under $60 which is rare these days for a sit down place.

If the pandemic is the reason why aren't they closing a lot of other locations?

Pandemic of homeless, drug use, and crime
Um, that’s Portland, where the WalMarts are closing. Meanwhile Cracker Barrel is closing stores in non shitty parts of Oregon. From OP:
quote:
We are saddened that we have been unable to overcome the impact the pandemic had on our business and have made the difficult decision to close the Beaverton, Tualatin and Bend locations,” a Cracker Barrel spokesperson said.

Portland, the next Dodge City with tumbleweed blowing down the middle of the street. Could not happen to a better place.

though I’ll admit I enjoyed more getting out of the city and seeing the beautiful landscape through the Columbia River gorge and going to Mt H
I mean, pretty much all of Oregon outside of Portland (and some parts of Eugene) is pretty awesome. The gorge areas, the coast and the winery areas like Roseburg and Willamette Valley are amazing. Bend was a neat town to visit as well.
Portland just unfortunately has a ton of sketchy to go along with the cool things, with it going in the wrong direction.

It's better than fast food.
But their chicken and dumplings suck.
It's not your local meat-and-three...but it's better than a Burger King.

I'm picking up breakfast from Cracker Barrell right now. I remember thinking the little shop was neat when I was younger. Now I'm wondering, who buys all this stuff? It's mainly clothing, nicknacks and accessories for women. Do women come here to shop?

Liberal democratic city with zero rule or laws going to shite. What a surprise.
Just like San Fran, Detroit, baltimore.

I love that Portland is getting all the freedom they are looking for. The west coast will be a disease riddled drug colony in 50 years.

quote:Good question. But one true story. We lived in Bradenton, FL. There is a Cracker Barrel there. My wife and I decided to go there for breakfast one day. I ordered my CB usual Uncle Hershel breakfast. This ill fated time, it included pieces of broken glass in the plate under the sunny side up eggs. Really did. Told the waitress and she looked put upon but took my plate back to the kitchen and came out with a new one. No kidding, it also included bits of broken glass. I again told the waitress, who looked at me and snarled, “What do ou want me to do about it?” The manager was barely concerned. We left. Won’t eat at a CB ever again.
Is Cracker Barrel good or am I influenced by nostalgia when eating there?

What about the chicken fried steak? I haven't been in one in decades but the craving for chicken fried steak hit about a month ago.
