Oh Noze!

How will they satisfy their hashbrown potato casserole Jones? Please don' tell me the panic in the strets hasn't started yet.

No hashbrown casserole is another good reason for me to not go to Portland. Might be the best reason.

Dude, what? $20 for a very filling breakfast and coffee at a sit down table with servers is absolutely worth $20

Maybe but until the price increase I could get the Senior Breakfast for 4.99 and tip the waitress more with the savings at iHop.

I love Waffle House, but its quickly losing its "value" label in my book.

Cracker Barrel's chicken fried steak is legit.

That said, now's your chance to bring a Po' Folks to your city, Portland.

I take it you’ve never had herbed goat cheese avocado toast with a kambucha enema before.

I've always loved their breakfast biscuits and gravy but I got food poison from there in like 2011 (baked chicken lunch plate) and have never been back.

0.
Some of their food is good. The fried chicken, vegetables, country fried steak is good.

Corn bread is die for. Mashed taters are crap.

I am old enough to remember when the mashed potatoes and gravy at Kentucky Fried Chicken was so good you had to slap your mama twice.

Going to KFC and more corporate was the end of that place.

Had to go to one when my daughters daycare went there.
I inhaled two chicken littles. Those were pretty good.

Kinda like a Krystal version of a chicken sandwhich.

Several customers were also upset by the news. "I didn't know if the Yankees could support good Southern cooking and apparently not!" said a customer named James, outside the shuttered Beaverton location.

Planned.

Can't have a communist takeover without a revolution. The revolution is to break local, state governments and communities..

It isn't fine dining or anything, but it definitely gives you exactly what you want if you are in the mood for it. Breakfast is very solid. I love the country fried steak. Biscuits and apple butter all day. Doesn't break the bank either.

But they quit making their two best menu items (IMHO): fried catfish and chicken livers.

The food is always pretty good. Nothing really good, but its consistent.

The problem with the Cracker Barrel model is that each location is huge and employs a lot of people. The restaurants require a large regular crowd to cover the cost of operation. That's why so many of them are located near busy interstate interchanges, to attract locals and drivers. Waffle House does this too, but Waffle House is incredibly lean and inexpensive to operate.

My guess is that the size of each location makes them unsustainable when their popularity goes down even a little.
