Wait, that is a real thing???
Seriously, you could not enter without a vaccine card?
Yep….it was real.

The progressive restaurant owners in NOLA view the people of Louisiana as more likely to be “anti-vax rednecks” (not my words) than a Los Angeles resident.
this makes a lot of sense.
the New Orleans Lefties leaning in on mandates to spite Louisiana residents

There are no restrictions cause the recall is a week away
Just wait till after that's when the party will start again here

Yep.. I mean, most of them are transplants and we are the unwashed southerners to them.

There is a recall election partly over how Newsome handled Covid or else they would have the whole state shut down again.

There wasn’t a mask in site at Barney’s Saturday afternoon standing arse to dick
ETA:
I checked my 10 month olds stroller at gate C and somehow ended up in the UCLA student section line surronded by rowdy drunk students all high giving my kid in his #18 LSU jersey. Wife looked at me and said ‘it will be a miracle if he doesn’t catch covid’

Was in San Diego before and after the game. No masks worn anywhere.
Vaccine status never checked at Rose Bowl.

I've been in Chicago and New York in recent weeks, and both were far more lax about it than I think most here probably think it is, especially compared to early on in the pandemic when I visited both cities. The restrictions were definitely more in the guideline bucket than in the actual, enforced restriction bucket.

I’ve been traveling to most of the liberal Mecca’s on the regular since January. With the exception of Brooklyn, nothing is like the narrative you see on the news.
Hell, even Brooklynites were pretty loose after a few drinks.

This all clearly shows the Twitter and Facebook algorithms are working.
They both have successfully distorted reality into making you, the consumer, believe that masks are the norm and smart people wear them all the time.
Even the CNNs, etc are working too, when all they'll show are their "journalists" out in the field with masks on.

Absolutely not. LA was the dirtiest, filthiest city I have ever encountered.
Not much of a world traveler I see.

Stayed and played in Santa Monica , zero restrictions
Pregamed in Old Town Pasadena , zero restrictions
MDR, SM and Old Town were pristine

I noticed the same thing. I noticed that instead of calling it covid, LA is calling it a virus like the NFL. If someone is out for a game, they are out for a virus.... Not the virus, a virus.

New Orleans is one of the most restricted places covid-wise in the US. One only has to venture one state over to the east, west, or north to understand this.
The progressive liberals that have migrated to the city post-Katrina have turned the place into Portland South, politically. Couple that with the old ignorance and corruption of the city under the rule of a transplant like Cantrell and you have a very stifled social environment.

You’d be surprised at reality vs news reports
This seems pretty true everywhere. Lots of places have mask mandates and various restrictions. For the most part, businesses aren't interested in doing anything that harms their business. Therefore, they let individuals do whatever they want and look the other way.

Same with downtown Portland. I actually wore a mask outside because the stench of bums and bum piss was so strong.
What was downtown that you wanted to see?
I avoid downtown except when I drive through.
