Not true at all. Many states are pushing to move the legal limt to .05 and until her toxicology report comes back other substances are not know. The police on scene accessed her as showing signs of impairment.

the fact you posted something mind-numbingly dumb and then defended it to double down.......just admit you posted something dumb, own it and move on.

Please explain how it was “mind-numbingly” dumb. This is a perfect instance of groupthink idiocy.

Stories like your wife’s accident piss me off so bad.
That driver should have been ticketed for the accident, then taken to jail for the stolen vehicle. Then tickets again for not having kids in car seats.
Should also face some kind of consequences for no insurance.

Happened when I was in school. A well known guy on campus, DC Clemons, was hit and killed in much the same way.

Is it typical for the bond to be less than $250K for killing 2 people?

Gov. Landry has released a statement. Not linking to Facebook, but he says,

"I am sick of seeing students and others killed while walking along Nicholson Drive at night."

He then goes on to say he will get DOTD, the City of BR, and LSU to look at options and make changes.

This has been a long time coming. Once they build the new arena, this will become even more of an issue.

Unfortunately for the families, this will be prosecuted in the 19th JDC with Hillar Moore as the DA. She’ll get a plea deal to go pick up litter for a few weekends while two families lose their loved ones forever.

This will immediately be equated to the Brister case, even though the facts in the two cases were completely different (and I wouldn't have cared if Brister went to prison for a long time).

They’re not going to do shite. Notice the Gov didn’t include State Police. Not sure what DOTD can do about drunk girls.

LSU leadership really needs to flex its power within the city and state governments

I've been saying this for 40 years. LSU could force so many things to improve in Baton Rouge, both around campus and in the city at large.

LSU has extreme financial and political power, but refuses to use it. The idea that the areas abutting campus on at least two sides are complete shite holes is unacceptable and completely unavoidable.

the fact that the victims were walking where they should have been ok, the car went through barricades to hit them, but your 1st thought was to ask if the victims had been drinking?

come on man - your smarter than this

Just because states are pushing 0.05 doesn’t mean it is truly impaired. That’s two IPAs for most people. Was she on other shite? Likely. But alcohol wasn’t a factor at 0.04. Impairment is at 0.08. Hell, after a DUI, the breathalyzer lets you drive at 0.02.

Good luck eliminating drinking at college or large sporting events.

Move to Provo I guess.
