Cuenca , Ecuador - perfect temperature daily. 10,000’ elevation. Large ex-pat community & Ecuador uses the American Dollar as their currency. Beautiful too!

Every person I know who did this, regretted it and got back here as soon as possible, or they are now trapped in a foreign land thanks to covid.

Yes, lots of places are nicer than the United States. I would love to retire to somewhere like Belize or Costa Rica.
You can get the same natural beauty in the US. What exactly is better there?

Probably New Zealand.
People are supposed to be happy as frick there and they speak some form of English.
Australia for the similar English reasons.
I like France, idk if I would Live there.
Could learn Hebrew and make aliyah to Israel.

You can move anywhere in the world for scenery but ultimately it's all the other shite that will make it difficult to do long term. Especially when you're so familiar with all the modern conveniences we have in the U.S..

I looked at Ecuador for when I retired. Since then I have moved to Alaska and honestly, I pretty much feel like an expat. Pretty happy here so not sure I am interested in moving anywhere else.
