Could you ever decide to move away and be an expat? If so, where?

I would need my wife to divorce me or die, and then I would move to the Orkney Islands. Or maybe the west coast of Norway. Somewhere isolated, with lonely women.

I have a friend who has lived in southern France for 10 years. He's happy. But F France.

I plan to in the next couple of years. Belize or Costa Rica most likely.

Slippy, it's f-in cold up there. There are plenty of places in the US that are isolated, especially if you're not opposed to cold weather. Have you seen Fargo?

I absolutely love the privacy of Key Caulker Island and it is just a 30 min ferry ride over to the mainland.

I lived there....

CR's Local and country government is so corrupt it makes Louisiana/NOLA politics look like it's on the straight and narrow.

I tried it in Australia. It was fun, I enjoyed the people and scenery, etc. but I ended up back here after five years. There's no place like the U.S.A., especially if you value your free speech and guns. My Aussie wife (no pics) likes it better in the U.S.

Costa Rica if you’re middle class.

Grand Cayman for ballers.

frick yes I could. My wife would never though.

I'd probably move to the British/French/Dutch Virgin Islands or Costa Rica in the Winter and somewhere Nordic in the Summer.

ETA:

South of France sounds great too. Been there a few times and some of those villages/towns are so picturesque they seem fake. Lavender fields, etc.

I thought so too. Then I thought, it'd be like living in Destin. Stupid tourists year round, insane prices on everything, ridiculous cost of living, etc...

Mexico/Central or South America. Cheap, interesting culture, scenic property cheap, several ex-pat villages throughout the regions.
