Could a modern supercar complete a 500 mile Nascar oval race?

Say like an Aventador or Bugatti Chiron or LaFerrari. It wouldn’t win, but could it run flat out for that long without the motor blowing? Assuming normal pit stops for fuel and tires.

Ford Fusions seem to complete it a few laps behind a Camry.
You would think a super car could.

They would overheat if going flat out.

I think any modern vehicle go survive a race once, especially a finely made “super car”

The test wouldn’t be a high banked oval like Daytona, the real test would be at the Brickyard with hardly any banking

Yes. Next question.
By historical standards, modern supercars are as reliable as a 1999 Camry.

It would be black flagged for failing to meet minimum speeds set by race control each race depending on the track and that weekend's speeds.
So, I don't know, five-ten laps tops.

The test would be tracks with a lot of braking and quick accelerating.

I can't see a lamb lasting long at Martinsville or the road courses

Is this a serious question? What kind of retardation is this?

I would imagine that at a high banked course like Atlanta or Daytona “super car” could smoke the field. *
They are so much more aerodynamic than a “stock car”, it wouldn’t be fair.
*That’s if it could survive the wear and tear of a 400-500 mile race. That, I do not know.

Not a chance. It takes a whole different level for it to be sustained at that level for 3-4 hours. Not off the floor anyway.

I googled before posting here to see if it was discussed elsewhere. Nothing came up, including reddit.

Pulling your (timing) chain. It's actually a good question, given the mind-numbing, boring racing that we now suffer through.

180-200mph isn’t like you driving on the interstate for hours at 75.

Do you even Top Gear and/or Grand Tour bro?
They routinely do 1000+ miles in supercars without any issues.

I don't think some of you realize how "low-tech" NASCAR is. Push rod V8's making 800hp(ish) in a steel frame car weighing over 3000lb. The supercars, if outfitted with equivalent slick tires, would shame them.
