“Let’s give everyone a few more minutes to join”

If the meeting is scheduled for 30 minutes, it’s f’ing over after 30 minutes. If you need a f’ing hour then schedule it for an hour.

People that pop in late and ask a bunch of questions about stuff that’s already been discussed. YOU LOST YOUR STANDING BY BEING LATE. SHUT THE F*** Up!

People that work from home and are not at home, have a bad connection, and won’t shut the f*** up.

I worked in sales for a New Orleans company that had Monday morning sales meetings at 7:30 AM.
That meeting was not moved to a later time the Monday after the Saints won the Super Bowl
That was the day the sales manager lost his team.
Talk about being out of touch.

You sound angry and like you need a new job, or a valium.

Boomers like you scheduling a meeting every 30 minute block of every day because you can't function independently enough to do your job without input or validation.

We will just have to "circle back on what you said as we continue to streamline our processes and look on how we can capture the potential for Q3 here"

1. Starting a meeting by asking people how their weekends were, if they saw "that movie/show" yet, etc. Basically anything other than the topic of the meeting.

2. Starting a meeting by having everyone introduce themselves.

Says the guy who uses the term “unalive” like he’s going to get a strike on his YouTube account.

Off topic, but when I was a very young engineer fresh out of college in the mid 1980s, I worked in an office with about 400 other engineers.

There was always a meeting being held somewhere, and there were always coffee and donuts catered.

There was one old-timer who roved around all day, stood in the back of the meeting room while eating a donut, then moving on to the next one.

As far as I know, no one from management ever called him out on it.

He was one of those really smart autistic types.

As a trucker, I've never had to experience corporate meetings. But I have watched enough episodes of The Office and Tires to get the idea

Also people that consistently schedule meetings and reschedule or cancel them 5 minutes before they are about to start.

Fired a girl once that was notorious for doing this among other irresponsible, selfish things.

I’m not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze. We should probably just take it offline to make sure we’re in sync.
