Bottom of the barrel engineering if you have someone writing long, retarded emails instead of doing productive work

You got most of them
You missed:

Pull through
Right size
Through put
Assessment
Utilization
metrics
Encapsulate
Task ownership

Acronyms were the fad at Schlumberger

At the end of the day, are we looking at the optics of these buzzwords holistically? If not, we should pivot and take it offline.

I think you have much opportunity to address the challenges in your initial message by streamlining the focus points and perhaps presenting in a deck by EOD, COB.

At this point it’s just funny. So many posers trying to act like real ‘leaders’ by spewing this crap.

If I hear our CEO say "leveraging," "verticals," or "leveraging verticals" one more time I'm going to punch him in the face.

I had an internal interview for a corporate position. After I hung up the phone, I emailed my poc in hr and asked politely to be removed from consideration. The interview was with the person that would be my superior and heavy on buzz words and very little on substance.

This is turning into a biweekly thread.

Which is what happens when you water down the Off Topic Lounge by creating 50 other more specific off topic boards. Threads get recycled at the cyclic rate.

Learning to quickly filter through non-sense emails is an important skill as you move up. It's up there with delegating shite you shouldn't be doing.

At some point, its like the main qualification for being in management is to learn how to fit in with the culture and quickly rise to the next position. It has nothing to do with being a former expert in your field. Which is troubling in the engineering world
