Stuff like that is supposed to say nothing. Here’s the secret about corporate America: no one cares. Well, no one important, at least. No matter how high up the ladder you go, everyone is just trying to look busy until it’s time to go home. We are all Stanley Hudson.

When I get those emails, I reply, “condense and revise”.

My only question is:

Will this all be done at the speed of right?

we really need to think outside of the box on this one if we don't want to strand runners on the bases

I did that corporate BS song and dance for 15 years where meetings were held to plan meetings to create power points to deliver at a meeting.

We literally had a two hour meeting to plan out a 15 minute internal meeting that ended up being completely pointless.

Made me question my entire existence and purpose of life after that.

Corporate America is a complete sham. “Lift” is the new buzzword I keep hearing. “We need lift on this project.” “Did we get any lift with the client?”

I worked in an office setting one summer a few years back. I picked up quickly on the use of buzz words and filler jargon. It drove me crazy.

One guy used the word "conversation" in a way that drove me bonkers. I'd say something to him and he would say, "I'll have to make a note of that to bring up in our later conversation."

Like what the frick, man. Speak like a normal human.

A few months ago, we had a video conference to “meet” our new CEO. Our department head made us attend the “meeting.” For 20+ minutes, 200 people in the room stared at a blue screen while they worked through technical difficulties. I looked around as nobody said anything and just kept staring ahead like a bunch of drones. It was surreal. Got up and went back to my office.

and if you stick around long enough, you will have no soul left. I have been at it for 3 years and will be done within the next month. I look at people who do this forever and just am so confused on how or why
