I didn't see this one mentioned, Strategic, "We have to start thinking strategically, look at individuals to make strategic hires. Maybe then we will see some strategic gains. If I hear the word Strategic one more time I will lose my mind!

might want to revisit that response, it ups your post count but is essentially negative growth at the end of the day

glad you're on board with this, let me give you a heads up to bring you up to speed on this, we've all been working in silos for some time, now that you're here you'll be able to focus on a critical area for us until you're ready to take the lead on this

Exactly. As a new poster this would be a great step-up opportunity for him.

That’s a great way to get accused of sexual harassment. The buzz words are safe.

I guess reading it is better than having to sit through an hour long meeting with the same buzz words and not accomplish anything.

Nothing grinds my gears than to spend hours making plans and then changing it on the fly.

Look, I’m really good at and passionate about some things, but none of them translate into a job that pays worth a shite. I was, however, blessed with above average people skills, so that’s the train I ride from 8-5. I hope to not do it forever, but for now here I am. I do go out of my way to make sure I don’t hold other people down, though.

As a project manager I, unfortunately, have to send emails with most of these buzzwords on a daily basis. It's like the higher ups can't understand them otherwise.

I typed this email out (in humor while pissed off) while I was on a project managers call. Sent it to my team as a joke after the call. Funny thing is I am in mgmt and recognize this as a bunch of bs and infuriates me to no end also.

At the end of the day, I just have too many balls in the air and don't have the bandwidth

besides, there is no functionality and I don't want to just boil the ocean.

the key takeway is that we need to develop a more efficient methodology for knowledge transfer...if its not mission critical, its just putting lipstick on a pig

I hated corporate life so much. Emails and their corporate buzzwords were part of the reason. Make sure you mine your acre of diamonds in your backyard...

I'm so glad that I work in construction now, where most of my emails are "Where's my proposal, a-hole. fricking get on it. Now."

So much more straightforward.

These take up a majority of my January every year. 15 random 360 reviews of people who I may have had one phone call with in the previous year.

BOOM! EXACTLY!

Find a service you can provide that you enjoy and boom, start a business. I'm doing lawns and land clearing, and gonna incorporate pressure washing too.

Done giving my power and freedom away to a couple dumbfrick managers who don't give af about me anyway
