Just normal early summer weather.

Been a little wetter than usual around Lafayette, I would say. But maybe that's just my perception.

I guess a swamp theme would have been redundant.

I mean it we're talking themes, why not Mardi Gras if you want flair and pretty colors? Theming it with beaches is pretty stupid.

Do they really need 120 pumps in that area??

Not been to a Buc-ee’s lately especially in Mississippi or the one on the Baldwin. Beach Express.

I swear I walk into those locations and you feel the energy like a grocery store before a hurricane, and it is like that most of the time.

Then you feel guilty after spending more on food, snacks, and trinkets than gas.

Gonna be a Big Ole exit sign saying 90->1 Beach Access Rd to Elmers Island.

It’ll prolly work on the Aggies.

Maybe the world can’t afford to stop and spend 100 bucks on chips and soda indefinitely?

So happy I moved out of Louisiana. They can’t do anything without some dumb excuse and massive delays.

There’s gotta be more to the story while it does seem to rain alot in Lafayette lately, before the summer they had already stopped construction when it wasn’t as rainy. I’ve been noticing the few times I’ve passed thru the last couple months.

They are milking the corruption out of Louisiana.

The Ruston location has been under construction for three years and the state built them their own exit.

im guessing it’s planning on being the stop for everyone in Texas heading to Florida in the summer? But still kind of an odd theme choice. Granted, I trust that Buccees knows exactly what they are doing.

No one should ever come to the Northshore. It is a terrible place. Whatever you do, DO NOT come here under any circumstances

My guess is someone powerful in government is holding out for a bigger payofff. I drove past the Ruston site last weekend & they are finally starting to clear out the area to start construction. Louisiana moves in two speeds. Slow & Stop.

Why not? I think it’s better and more vibrant to be a “sore thumb” in presentation. Southern country settings do well in other parts of the country. And beach tones/themes are normally calming and have great vibes.

The exit wasn’t build for Buc-ee’s specifically. The exit was already there and Ruston Junior High has been there since the late 80’s. Right now they’re widening the overpass from 4 lanes to 5 and the entry way to
Buc-ee’s will be directly across the street from the bus entrance to the school. They’re going to install 3 red lights (2 off the exit ramps and 1 to Buc-ee’s).
