I have yet to see a single person argue otherwise. They have the right to ask, and courts have stated that you have the right to refuse. It's your idiotic assertion that it "violated your constitutional rights" that is entirely wrong.

True. Can they just arbitrarily do so or must there be a reason. If it for refusal to show a receipt we then go back to the circular argument of the justifiability of this policy. While private businesses have certain rights, those rights are not absolute. Would it be a civil right s violation to ban a customer who has not been accused of a crime but has refused to show a receipt.
