So glad we are nipping this scourge on society in the bud:

31-year-old Brandon J. Engham sold 10 pounds of wild deer sausage for $60 to an undercover state wildlife and fisheries agent in March.

I'm glad we've gotten all of the crack and meth off the streets and an concentrate on serious things like deer sausage.

This, OTOH, is a serious matter.

If he stays within his legal hunting limit and wants to sell meat and some one is willing to buy it. I don’t see the problem never liked that law.

When will folks get it? What is the point of going after real criminals (like methed out meth heads, theives, murders, gangs, etc) when you can just bust the potheads and the rednecks who are selling deer sausage. I've never felt so safe after the capture of this illegal deer sausage seller. I even feel safe enough to go into a walmart now.

I guess sausage companies have deep pockets for lobbyists.

That or, is the government really missing out on that much tax on the sale?

Wtf, that's a stupid arse law.

because you can't get enough legal meat to make a profit. all hunters are in the hole, the meat we kill every year all tallied with lease, cams, guns, gas, etc. is probably worth a hundred dollars per pound.

there's absolutely no way he could make a profit without selling illegally gotten meat.

Its the law. They’re enforcing it. Kinda like trump is trying to enforce immigration laws.

Kids these days have no clue how to sling venison. My papaw had me peddling dime bags of backstrap when I was in the 3rd friggin grade. And the ONLY time I was ever caught he bought the LDWF officer off with a neck roast and some tenderized steak. Then he promptly got me back out on the gravel making more deals. Getting causght with 10lbs of sausage is laughable. I was moving 24 haunches of dry aged hind quarter by the time I was in JR. High smdh

Wildlife and fisheries agents are in charge of making sure that laws surrounding hunting and fishing are enforced, not going after drug dealers, robbers and murderers. Why is it wrong that they are doing their jobs?

It’s supposed to help cut down on poaching. If there were a market for it, more people would try to meet the demand for the $

What does Trump got to do with anything cuck? Point is, why waste money going after these lowest hanging of fruit, when you could better use that money/people to go after the real criminals. It is much more dangerous going after the crack heads, gangs, murders, which is what they should be focusing on instead of some redneck. Plus deer is overpopulated as it is and it isn't like the dude killed some endangered species and selling the meat.

Again, I'm sure we all feel sooooo much safer now that this redneck is off the streets selling his illegal deer sausage. I feel so safe, I probably will go into a walmart now.
