It’s just heavily concentrated. You don’t have to go far to be out of the city and all that drug use and homelessness.

Honestly I just got back from West Virginia.

It seems way more real and genuine than any hippie NC town.

Yep, you'll only find this in small communities, whether towns or neighborhoods.

The more people in a mob, the worse they are.

Waynesville has managed to avoid most of what makes Asheville a dump these days. If you want an idea of what Asheville used to be, visit downtown Waynesville.

Waynesville is an awesome little place. Hendersonville is really nice as well. Small town with really good restaurants and things to do. We have a place in Bat Cave and like to drive up there for dinner and hang out for an evening when we're out that way.

All those towns are great. Waynesville, Brevard, Cherokee. Clyde is beautiful, there's nothing to do there but it is pristine.

I agree, I only observed this in the downtown area. I was just surprised by the amount of addicts and how bold they were.

My sister and nephews live in Asheville, I've been going there since the mid 90s and have never witnessed this before.

Such a stupid fricking take.

The city I live in is majority democrat. But I don't mind because the political bullshite isn't in your face like it is in places like Asheville.

I have no problem living around those who think differently than me. When I have a problem is when they won't shut the frick up about it and spew their political bullshite 24/7.

Before I'd tell you to check out the almost daily protestors at the Vance monument, but the city tore it down last year.

Still protestors there most days anyway.

You can't go anywhere near that square downtown, near Tupelo Honey. 5 years ago we waited in that park for our table to be ready. Just walked by that park last year and vagabonds making a mess of it.

Yeah, when i'm in New Orleans, when i see cars being stolen, it's simply because "well they just don't think like i do"...

Blackmountain, Brevard, etc...is Incredible, and the breweries are cool. The city itself it's OK I guess. We were at dinner in Ashville one night when a hippie chick with full underarm bush whipped her tit out and started breastfeeding at the table next to us (withouta modesty blanket). My daughter and her friend were taken aback to say the least

By the way, good on the hippie chick for not murdering her offspring, I guess

This pretty much sums it up.

Every city has negative aspects. Asheville's positive outweigh the negatives, no question.

Collectivists rarely understand why they are unsuccessful as individuals. You're probably perpetually confused without daddies money.
