I don't think you even know what a collectivist is. I'm pretty sure they're not too concerned with individual success.

You're just not very good at this, Roger. Stick to screaming at kids to get off your lawn.

I go to Asheville 8-10 times a year for work. 10 years ago it was something I really looked forward to each trip. Now I'd rather not go. It's still beautiful and plenty of shite to do, but the people are fricking terrible. Covid melted what little brains they had
I've never been to Asheville so not defending it at all but is it possible that having been there 80+ times has had something to do with you no longer looking forward to each trip?

Downtown is dog shite. The brewery area is cool.

The best part of Asheville is the outskirts.

Not when you compare to other places. You ask me 5 years ago, and i would have told you i would move there if i could. You ask me now, under no cirumstances would i move to that city.

Vacationing is different, but then again, i don't know if i'd go back. There are other "mountain towns" out there, and most every city has craft breweries now.

If they clean up their homeless situation and stop with the insane masking BS, then maybe. But, our last trip made an impact on us, and we'll be looking at other places in the future.

IMO the whole smokies region is vastly overrated. I much prefer the Rockies. You can’t even skii in the smokies.

Correct, they are all in poverty together.

Sure I do, a failed individual. you.

I’ll never understand the hype for these hipster white Mecca cities of Asheville, Denver, Nashville, and Austin

I guess. Is collectivism even still a thing? Didn't they all turn into corporate raiders in the 80s?

yep, that's how collectivism works. All the rats stay at the bottom. Except the ones who inherited shite. They blow it at breweries and average food.

Nah. I love the area. Love the mountains, the beer, live music, bluegrass and everything else it has to offer. The people can be just that off putting. Not just the bums and gutter punks, but the general population (of Asheville proper). Dealing with shitty people with shitty attitudes gets old. Plus knowing what it used to be, and seeing what it is becoming, kinda sucks

To the Commie anti-capitalist left, yes. I'd say they are fringe, but the fringe is what is beaten over your head daily, now.

I hear baton rouge is particularly beautiful and a wonderful place to raise kids as LSU fans. The stadium is so close and there is even a college you can attend. You should consider moving there to your forever home.

I’d rather the crime in Baton Rouge than deal with the woke bullshite.

Beyond the Blue Ridge backdrop, Asheville is just a Commie shite hole. It's where libs in Atlanta run off to in order to get away from black criminality and still keep their prog license.

Just goes to show where living out in the wilderness will get you. We don't don't call them "tribes" anymore, Roger, we call them "families" now. And me and mine are doing quite well, thank you. Mom just turned 86 last week, so my sisters and I took her out for boiled crabs. The crabs weren't great, but we had a good time just being together. I'm glad she's moved back from NC, it's good to have her close by.
