Comprehending The Incomprehensible

Putting the span of the known universe into perspective:
Suppose a single cell moves at 10 micrometers per second. To circle the entire Earth’s surface would take 100,000+ years. FWIW, Homo sapiens have only been around for roughly 300,000 years.
With our current technology, it would take humans 100,000+ years to reach Proxima Centauri, the closest known star to the sun. Which is approximately 40 trillion or 4.0 x 10^13 km away from the sun.
In other words: the distance to the nearest star is already so huge that crossing it with today’s technology takes about as long as a single cell would need to crawl once around the entire Earth.
The estimated diameter of the observable universe is roughly 8.8 x 10^23 km.

Mother fricker I damn near didn’t graduate high school. I’m trying to figure out how long I have to work to hit 10 mil for retirement.

The universe has been expanding, but it’s going to start contracting in the next two years.
So, things are about to start getting closer. Give it time. We’re about to start traveling between stars. Universe travel is going to be quick in 4 billion years.

According to who? It's generally accepted the expansion of the universe is accelerating and its ultimate fate is a heat death.

If you grossed 250k per year since the 80s you would barely make 10MM before retirement.
You don't need that much to retire. You do you though.

Well, given your line of work (sucking dick) at a going rate of $10 per dick sucked, you would need to suck 1 million dicks in total. If you averaged 78.28 per day it would take approximately 35.0 years to reach your goal for retirement.

Thinking that an event as momentous as the universe, expanding since the dawn of time, will begin contracting within two years is utterly laughable.
