Not quite. The ads had kids waiting for the bus in pouring rainstorms in the dark.
Some spoil sports pointed out that the rain had nothing to do with CT or CDT.
(Those were the same children who had been trotted out to make commercials to influence people to vote against liquor by the drink, with crying children sitting on a curb in the rain while their parents were in a nearby bar, drinking. )]

There is no legitimate reason Alabama should be on Central Time in any of these scenarios

DST doesn't work during the winter months, it wont get light till after 8am.
That’s perfect, I don’t have to wake up early to go hunting.

Give me permanent DST. Morning sunlight isn't as valuable as afternoon sunlight. I'm driving to work regardless of whether the sun is out or not. Having more time before sunset would be much better for me.

Just pick one and stay with it.

I love that bright afternoon map in the low right corner!!

I enjoy the way it is right now. I know I’m in the minority but I don’t mind it getting dark early in the winter especially if it’s cold.
Same. I like the time change twice a year.

The current 4:15 PM sunset sucks.

If it ever does go into affect, i can’t wait for the comical bitching for people that hunt.
I gotta be in the stand to after 8pm now.

Shift a couple of time zone borders a little bit and the dark map isn’t so bad

How the zones are drawn in the US continental states and Alaska affects some of these numbers?
To better match the true zones: Central needs to shift east taking some of the eastern time zone, and Mountain needs to expand east covering what shift to central left behind.
Alaska would have shift 2 zones to the west and have some in same zone as Hawaii.
In some of those maps the adjustment lessons the extreme areas in both directions.

Having the sun out longer will just increase the rate of global warming.

Split it by 30 minutes. Move half time zone east.

Daylight Savings Time is the dumbest thing I've seen in mass effect. Go out on the street at 6:30 AM and tell me how many cars and joggers you see on the road. Now do the same at 5:45 or 6 PM. It's not even close. 1,000x as many cars and people active outdoors at 6 PM than 6:30 AM. Abolish daylight savings.
Someone actually did an experiment with this and posted it on YT. They posted a video of a busy road for a few minutes at 6:30 AM, then did the same at 6 PM. Someone counted 31 cars at 6:30 AM and 512 at 6:00 PM. Same intersection just different time of day.
It's not about you. It's about the masses. The masses want it gone. Be gone with it.

This graphic doesn't make sense to me. It says if Daylight Savings were abolished, somehow eastern Central time zone would get much fewer days with a late sunset? I think it'd be the opposite. If Daylight Savings were abolished, the eastern part of Central time zone would have more late sunny days. If it were abolished now, sunset would be post 6 PM. But with it in tact now, sunset is pre - 6 PM. Don't get this.

I must be misunderstanding this. Daylight Savings I thought if it were abolished, would mean that Louisiana would have post 6 PM sunset now in Winter. As it is now in Louisiana Winter with Daylight Savings Active, Sunset is pre-6 PM. Why would permanent Daylight Savings mean post 6 PM sunset? Because right now it isn't. I thought the daylight savings meant scoot the clock one hour forward so people can get sun at 6:30 AM which is less active than 6 PM.

You agree with me but don't realize it. You are making the argument to keep DST, not abolish it
There are 3 choices:
1. What we have now
2. No DST
3. Always DST
I want option 3
