and i jsut looked it up, and average Houston summer humidity is 85-90% and Dallas is 65-75%. so what is said is exactly right.

It’s really not humid in Dallas, certainly in the summer, it’s just hot as balls

Houston absolutely blows. Dallas isn’t much better. Texas is grossly overrated as a whole.

The Las Colinas area was great 15-20 years ago. Great access to DFW airport. Only 15 minutes to downtown. Haven’t been there in years but I know it was a booming area all those years ago.

I just drove through there from Houston a few weeks ago and it was kinda hard to tell where the outskirts of Houston stopped and the outskirts of Dallas begins.

I'd personally pick Houston. I love it here. I didn't grow up in Texas, and have no real bias towards Houston. I just feel like the culture in Houston is more deep south and Dallas is more midwestern. Love the Louisiana influence in my city.

There’s like two hours of sod farms and a mushroom manufacturing plants between Dallas and Houston

People wise, Dallas never stops competing with the $30,000 millionaire. Have fun wearing a full suit to drive your 300 series BMW out on a weekend night. Houston seems more down to earth, good hearted people.

If you like freshwater fishing Dallas has more and better lakes. Houston more for offshore. With that said, I’ve caught multiple 10+lbers on Conroe but it’s a grind to fish.

Restaurants, nightlife are the same. Suburbs are the same outside the pretentiousness of Dallas.

Both are major hub airports.

Cowboys play the Texans this week FWIW.

All of this.

Especially this:

Dallas people think they are LA West. Snobbish Pricks the lot of them.

Fort Worth Folks are more down to earth, but the baws are in H-Town.

obviously a bit of an exaggeration to illustrate that they are two massive sprawling cities within close proximity to each other. It takes two hours to leave the Houston metro area depending upon which part you're coming from.

Pick whichever one you have the best job offer in. They're otherwise similar enough.

I live in Houston. If you like humidity and mosquitos they have both in spades. Both have good food and nightlife. Houston is more blue collar, lower COLA but keeps raising property taxes. Lot of crime and corruption in Houston, but I’d bet Dallas has quite a bit as well. You can golf in shorts in December in Houston.

Fort Worth is far superior to both.

This.

I have been to both and I felt better for some reason in Fort Worth than Dallas. The the stockyards was fun as hell!

I don't think anyone really lives in Houston because they want to. It's usually tied to a job and that's it.
