-35 degrees.1994 Glens Falls , NY. The following year my parents moved our family to Tennessee! Grew up with cold arse winters though. I was in high school when we moved south. I hate the cold now but loved it when I was a kid and had a lot of fun in the winter. Down in the south the cold just sucks because there is nothing fun to do when it gets cold like ski , sled , snowmobile , etc.

probably in the 20's.

A Russian guy I do jobs for said his family in Siberia sent him a pic of their record low. In the pic was the digital thermometer and it said -60* C. frick that.

He said you make good money in Siberia, it's like people who go to North Dakota or Alaska here.

5 degrees. It and 5 other days where the high did not go above 15 occurred when I lived in Virginia.
Also the heat out broke the first night of the extreme cold so we had to rely on the fireplaces to keep warm. Thankfully that summer an oak on the property got hit by lightning so after chopping the remains up we had a ton of firewood.

One December when I lived in Vermont it stayed between -20 and -30 the entire month. I didn't live there for many more winters.

In the early 80's me and my buddy's went fishing in some borrow pit's in Morganza, La in January. One of the coldest days of the year there, 35 F. In the excitement of landed the 1st bass of the morning, I knocked my spare rod and reel into the water. Stripped down to my tighty whitey's and went diving in 6 ft of water till I found it. Was not about to lose that brand new Shimano. It cost me $50 at Kmart! Haha. Spent 30 minutes thawing out afterward in my truck with the heater on full blast. Good times!

It's currently 6 outside according to the thermometer on the side of my house....

About 3 years ago it said -23 on that mfer, it hurt my face to walk down to the side of the garage to look at that thing. those temps are no joke however.
