re: Have you ever been in a coma? - crtodd on 8/31/18 at 7:17 am
I also thought they were doing experiments on me! I was paranoid for about a week after I got home. I'm missing about a month of memory. I'm still finding out about stuff I did and things that went on around me going back several days before I went to the hospital. It's a very strange feeling wh...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Have you ever been in a coma? - crtodd on 8/31/18 at 7:07 am
Yes, last month, out for four days. Physical recovery is better than was expected, my legs are still a little weak, and the more tired I am the more my hands shake. I don't remember anything that happened around or to me while I was out. But...I am also going through chemo treatments. Between the...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Just found out I’ve got a large brain tumor today. - crtodd on 8/21/18 at 8:51 am
I am going through chemo treatments now, after being diagnosed about two months ago. Shortly after the diagnosis, I got very ill and spent 17 days in the hospital, four of them in a coma. Before I got sick, the words "Stay positive " seemed like something people said just to say it. It was ridic...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Embarrassing jobs that parents have - crtodd on 6/2/18 at 9:27 pm
Did it even occur to you that he likes his job? Maybe he started there when he was just out of school, and he stayed because he likes working with people? Other than quotas, it's probably fairly low-stress. Probably gets to work the hours he likes, or he might be manager of the department, but even ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: PSA: those who have State Farm homeowners insurance - crtodd on 5/31/18 at 7:50 pm
It does with our personal rates. We've been with our company for 24 years and nobody can touch our fire policy rate. Or our auto, for that matter. Unless I want shite for insurance, which we don't. Now, I won't say that we don't take rate increases, but when you start with a premium that was "...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Longevity with any company makes a difference, too. Shopping may lower your rate temporarily, but like you said, the company you get that lower rate with has to catch up some time....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Violent Sunday in Baton Rouge: 3rd killing in 10 hours takes life of 45-year-old - crtodd on 5/21/18 at 8:54 am
Tams Dr N Marque Ann Catalpa N little John All are probably some of the worse streets in Baton Rouge
I know I've been gone a long time, but that blows my mind. Charles "Bo" Strange was my knee surgeon when I was a kid, and their sister, Virginia was a cardiologist and my boss when I was a senior in high school. Three kids, three doctors. And both of the ones I knew were really nice people and good doctors....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Trashy or not? I threw down on my mother tonight on the phone - crtodd on 5/17/18 at 6:55 am
One thing you might not truly realize is how exhausting a trip like that is for some people their age. The mix of the excitement of graduation and all of the hubbub surrounding it, and being in a large crowd of people. And let's not forget traveling to your house and back. If my son told me there...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Would you leave your 3 year old child with an 11 year old babysitter? - crtodd on 5/14/18 at 4:23 pm
I babysat a lot from 10 years old on. But only for a few hours at a time. And I was responsible for my age. But not all day, every day for any length of time. Much less 2 weeks. Now, let her sit for 2 or 3 hours while you are at a movie, get to know and trust her, and you might have a really goo...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

You're right. The people thinking the employee just sat there out of laziness, indifference or whatever proves it, too. It was clear why she didn't do anything (even not pregnant, what was she going to do against some out of control a-hole who is trained to always have the upper-hand!?) She was the...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

So, the opinion of the vast majority here is, it's ok that the cop disciplined his 14 year old girl the way he did. That included slapping her face, pulling her hair, using his belt, ond PUNCHING HER IN THE FACE. So it seems fair to say that if a grown man punches your wife or mom in the fac...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4)
