Switch to espresso, been drinking it just about everyday for 5 years and it still does the trick.

You are doing it wrong

#1 You need to be drinking a pot when you get up (12+ cups)
#2 You need to be brewing it (PS : Starbucks is NOT coffee)
#3 You need to start with an actual coffee and nothing else

Check back in and tell what you think then

Coffee doesn’t give me energy but I’m not sure I ever hoped it would. It’s the best part of my morning though.

The biggest marketing scam ever.

Back in the early days of the cocaine trade the Columbians would pack the dope inside shipments of Columbian coffee to throw the dope dogs off the scent. The Columbians were thrifty so the Columbian coffee they used was the cheapest and worst they could find. Once across the border they would try to unload the coffee for whatever they could get but it was so bad they had trouble finding buyers. Well, until the Starbucks folks started buying the crap coffee for their early stores.

I love my coffee in the morning if for nothing else than to get the body in cleanse mode after a couple cups of Joe.

I too can drink coffee at night and not have any issue with getting to sleep.

My daily intake is usually 2-3 cups in the morning, a cup in late afternoon (4-5 or so) and done for the day.

If you are Hyper Active(What is now labeled ADHD), Stimulants such as coffee have the opposite affect.

I used to go to my grandmothers for lunch during middle school and have a cup of strong coffee so that I didn't disrupt the class and I could focus.

To this day, if I have a cup at night, I dose off rather quickly.

Yep. Once had 2 coffee cups. One had a picture of a guy sitting on the commode with a cup of coffee and the caption read "Coffee gets me going".

The other had the same character on the commode and captioned "The jobs not done until the paperwork is finished".

2 Cups in the morning, and another one at 2p. Your body gets addicted to caffeine like any other substance. If you don't think so, give it up for a week or so and watch your body go through withdrawals. I gave up caffeine for Lent one year and the headaches sucked arse, and my guts never could get right. Could totally tell the difference when I started drinking coffee again. Maybe you're not sleeping worth a shite at night? Do you have sleep apnea? How big a boy are you?

Do you drink a lot of coffee every day?

Just because you feel “normal” doesn’t mean it’s doing nothing. Stop drinking it cold turkey and you’ll likely find out how much it was doing.

The darker the roast, the more caffeine has been burned out of it. If you want the stimulant, try Turkish coffee and get back to me.

thank you for knowing this. so many people think their EXTREME DARK ROAST or whatever is way stronger when it's exactly the opposite.

also turkish coffee is good stuff. drank it routinely in Jordan on a deployment. the Jordanians love that shite.

Don't use dark roast.
