She will be out in less than 3 years. She isn’t insane so they’ll have no reason to keep her.

When an animal is rabid, you put it down. Same should be done to this animal.

I don’t see how any mother could vote in that way. To kill all 3 kids. She needs a to be locked away.

I don't either, but the confidence I have that they will be able to put emotions aside during deliberations is very low,

Considering most women in the hospital I work at think HE somehow killed the 3 kids…well yeah not looking good for actual justice.

The only true justice in this case would be for this evil, vile bitch to be killed.

9 women

It’s ridiculous that women are even allowed on jury’s if I’m being honest. They’re simply incapable of passing unbiased judgement.

Question. Is her mental health all of a sudden cured? Does she still have any kind of depression or was that cured when she did what she did? I

She’s diagnosed as bipolar II. She’s had intensive therapy and medicines. IDK if she’s still on the medicine. Her attorney’s argument has been that because she was prescribed SRIs it made her mental illness worse. SRIs are the worst thing to prescribe for someone suffering from bipolar disorder.

Got these factors to weigh:
-9 women and 3 men on the jury
-Massachusetts is a state where it's legal to abort babies until the moment of birth
-Massachusetts is full of liberals
- in Massachusetts, the burden is on the prosecution to prove that the defendant was not mentally insane. In most states, the burden is on the defense th prove the defendant was mentally insane.
- Prosecution did a poor job up until the closing statement.

Those are all very important factors.

My guess is going to be not guilty by reason of insanity for all but perhaps manslaughter, and that's basically because of those factors.

This is one of those cases that, for me, serves as a clear sign that the claim of "insanity" should at least mandate confinement into a facility. If someone is not considered "insane" then there is at least room for the belief they can eventually understand why what they did was wrong.

By the very definition of "insane," someone considered as such will likely never understand why what they did was wrong, much less be less likely to ever do it again. As such, I consider them an even greater danger to society so defense claims of "insanity" should merit stronger sentences.

I’m late to the game here as I just started following. Question. Is her mental health all of a sudden cured? Does she still have any kind of depression or was that cured when she did what she did? It seems far fetched that all of a sudden after all the meds she tried and people she talked to that NOW she is better.

I dont think the defense claims that she is cured.

She has additional emotional stresses that weren't there before (she killed her kids, jumped out of a window, and is paralyzed).

From watching the trial, she appeared to be in psychosis weeks after the murder. It wasnt a 20 minute crazy.

The prosecution's opening remarks were, "she isnt that crazy".
The closing remarks were, "she is bat shite crazy but knew what she was doing. Too many coincidences".

Women jurors letting a child killer go free because the prosecution was "rude" to the grandmothers is just the kind of level-headed decision making we expect from them.

100%. It wasn't what was said, it was their tone.

How many of them are loving mothers who would kill for their children?

We should really just have AI be the judge and jury going forward. Polarization is so hardened in this country that women won't convict a child murderer and liberals won't convict any left wing criminal. Only problem would be making sure the AI itself wasn't woke. So Grok based AI, not Claude or Open AI, would be the best solution.

I’ve watched the trial. The CW asked the mother in law about mortal sin. If LC wins on appeal, that could be one of the reasons. You cannot bring in theology like that.
They’ve come across not as professional and rational, but as two women on a personal vendetta. I don’t want someone with the power of the government using that power for vindictive or personal reasons.
They did do much better in closing yesterday, but whether it’s enough I don’t know.
It it’s a hung jury, I do think that they retry, and they’ll have a better chance of conviction.

This woman needs a hit put on her. I don’t see how the husband doesn’t have to be held back from strangling her when he sees her.
