I think not guilty by reason of insanity. I don’t understand the insanity part bc she killed 3 children and I think she planned it. Women are behind her, including many nurses, because women’s mental health isn’t taken seriously they say. If she indeed reached out for help and was ignored, her physician needs to answer. And her husband, mother and MIL guilty too if they knew and left her alone with those kids.

I watched most of the trial, and the prosecution didn’t do a very good job. They were very unlikable and were sort of all over the place with their accusations. They were rude to her mother and mother in law and brought up their Catholic religion in their questioning (and were admonished by the judge for it). A little sympathy for the grandmothers may have gone a long way with the jury.
The defense attorney did a much better job and, according to reporters that were in the courtroom, had a more favorable response from the jury whenever he was speaking.
The commonwealth didn’t prove that she was not suffering from a mental health crisis when she killed her kids. I just don’t see them convicting her for murder or even manslaughter.
I agree with this.
I dont think she ever leaves the mental facility though. That is a life sentence.
Her brain was fried.
She knew it was coming.
And tried to get help.
"She shouldn't have been left alone with the children" is the definition of she's crazy and needs to be institutionalized.
I dont think she faked the suicide attempt either. She was that crazy.
"Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" is the duty of the prosecution and they are far short of that.

This is the kind of bullshite we have reasoned ourselves into. We have constructed such an elaborate legal artifice that we suffer mothers who murder their own children to live. I agree with you that the law and procedure was followed here. But the law and procedure is contemptible and meant to govern a society of effete cowards.
One day Americans won't live in the kind of comfort they do now and real justice (and injustice) will return.

Not guilty by reason of insanity(which is dumb). All the women on the jury will say not guilty and atleast one of the guys will to impress them. May spend a bit of time in a mental facility before being released back into society.

NGRI and shell be back on the streets in 3 years, perfectly reasonable and soaking up every book deal she can find, lest a vigilante provides the world with the justice it needs but sure as frick doesn't deserve.

Jail. Insane asylum. It is the same thing to me.
The chair or lethal injection is different. And I wouldn't be for that if she murdered her kids and didn't take pills, slash her body, and jump out of a window because a voice told her to do it.
The prosecution had a job for a guilty verdict and they weren't going to get it. Watch the breakdown of the meds she was on and how her nervous system basically deteriorated. The human brain is too complex for cookie cutter treatments. Standard care is "the meds aren't working so we up the dosage" and that works for most people. But there are outliers who have damage from that exact treatment and even future safer alternatives are no longer safe after the damage is done.

Hung jury is my prediction. I don't see any way in hell 9 women from Massachusetts doesn't include at least a few lunatics
