There are more of us than there are of them

Hopefully this is a little demonstration that gets the point across to tread lightly with authoritarianism

Michigan’s governor has turned into a full tyrant. What has happened in Michigan really hasn’t been happening anywhere else. So for those of you thinking this is the start of a revolution, you should probably put your pitchforks down

This.

I think people are going to begin to ignore the lockdown if it goes past mid-May. I don't expect protests or riots yet unless Governments try to clamp down harder.

I hope that most of our leadership have a shred of intelligence and understand that you can't keep Americans holed up for long.

It will be the small business person who bring this down. As the money starts flying wing, the gubment picked winners and losers.

That’s because we’ve been shut down, genius. Ffs.

I dunno, but it comes across like some person or group combed through the order, put the most extreme spins on it they could, stuck a couple of Word pages up, took some pictues and posted them. Not bad as basic level propaganda goes.

Second person I know (who was healthy) died from covid yesterday.......I know the numbers aren’t small pox-worthy, but this thing could be VERY different if people disregard it totall

I am truly sorry for your loss.
However...if you know 2 "healthy" people who have died of Covid that is VERY unusual....I would bet your friends had a diagnosis you don't know about like hypertension, diabetes or an immune disorder...

This is the only thing in the actual Michigan order I see relating to a safety car seat:

quote:

To obtain necessary services or supplies for themselves, their family or household members, and their vehicles. Individuals must secure such services or supplies via delivery to the maximum extent possible. As needed, however, individuals may leave the home or place of residence to purchase groceries, take-out food, gasoline, needed medical supplies, and any other products necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and basic operation of their residences.

Sure seems like a car safety seat would fall under the exemption for "To obtain necessary services or supplies for . . . their vehicles."

Seems more likely a Walmart employee just put the sign there, someone took a photo and internet loons went crazy overreacting.

Whether one agrees with your overall sentiment or not that statement is not based in logic.

You can't use the "low" number of deaths during a shutdown to argue against a shutdown in that manner.

Possibly. But I wouldn't even assume that it was a store employee that put up the signs.

Wow.
