And both are consolidated City-Parish governments.
Doesn't the sheriff service almost half the population in the role NOPD does?
Also are the salaries of the other mayors and staff on the list?

Support Democrats and vote for them.

You have assistant librarians making more than judges.....damn
I can not argue with their choice, from my experience assistant librarians are more qualified. Wasn't Trudy a City Court Judge in the past?

I've worked with some peeps on that list.
In the private sector they were major under achievers.

TBF when it comes to politicians, their secretaries are basically the ones doing all the work. Not to mention the behind closed doors work.

but remember, teachers unions are the true evil yall
The obscene OT built into policing would shock the average person. There's a reason you always hear whining about "starting salary" and not how much they actually make. The force could easily increase base pay, hire more officers, and cut down on OT. It will never happen, because those long in seniority get the most cush OT details, and lots of it.
But I did see that EBR got another federal grant in the last few days for roughly $750k to pay for OT for officers to do random DWI checkpoints and seatbelt stings, just in time for some extra Christmas money.

They use the cush OT fraud to get crazy massive retirement packages. Many in the police department and civil service should be in prison for fraud.

Yup yup. Work the last handful of years at a spiked "salary" and then retire. And then many of them simply go work in the private sector while pulling their full retirement. After being "working poor" their entire lives, they are driving $80k vehicles all of a sudden.

The police are just as bad as Broom and Gissel and the rest.
Folks, it's not about black vs white or right vs left, it's about whether you are a part of Rome/the govt or not.
Not a one of them has missed one single solitary paycheck. And you're letting them tell you what to do.

It takes almost 20 years to make Sgt for BRPD so I’m not really bothered that someone makes decent money after 20 years on the job

This is very true. If you click the link in OP and sort by Gross Pay and then look at "Hire Date", you'll see most of them started in the 90's.... with the exception of Broom and Gissel....

BOURGOYNE TODD POLICE LIEUTENANT 153,328.22
Easily one of the hardest working, humble, give you the shirt off his back kind of guy on the job.
As a 25 year Lieutenant, he was working entry level calls for service last night in the rain in North Baton Rouge while most of you were safe and warm in your bed.
The world needs more like him. He earns every penny.

So, he was doing what a patrolman should do while making > $150K.
