Wonder if this was a gang shooting? Seems that's what they attribute it all to anyway. Even when the victims aren't gang members. And it happens in a big mall not in the ghetto.

So will Chris toddle down to City Hall or BRPD HQ and ask some tough, probing questions? Doubt it. Hes another hack who refuses to do real investigative journalism.
This Nakamoto is a hack who made a name off of a single breaking story and has been useless ever since.

The location is near an elementary school, so if we’re being serious, this has the potential to be a massively fricked up story.

I'd guess a kid

This has started to become a daily thing. Just wait until school is out and summer sets in.

Guess we all need to invoke Coulters Law, no sense in making assumptions about the shooter(s) yet.

At least they haven’t stated the shooter was wearing a red Trump hat shouting “this is MAGA country”

I'm unfamiliar with that area, but is it really a ghetto? It looks more like a mix of working/lower middle class white area based on what I see. Winnebagos, broken down cars, and tow trucks outside the shittier houses. Some of the nearby homes are nice enough. Lawns are mostly well maintained.

That’s what happens when it’s usually fatherless thugs doing the killing. The culture is broken, it started long before a lot of us were born, and it was done on purpose.

I saw a video on social media yesterday from an eloquent member of the black community. He stated that the killing of that "rapper" in front of the gym the other day would likely spark a series of retaliatory attacks, as it was widely believed he had gang affiliations.

I don't think any of the murders since then have been related to that, but it just goes to show you how much more violent Baton Rouge could likely get in the coming weeks and months.

It is unclear whether the victim is a juvenile or an adult. Officials said they are waiting to confirm his identity and age.

Well, they're obviously not bringing an adult to the Children's Hospital. Unless maybe they are. Who knows with this city?

they get under 18 at Children's, especially if it's not a serious trauma.

We'd need to synch up the time... i saw the story first posted at 3:11 on wafb.com, at which point no details other than "shooting".
What grades are in the bus before 3? High school?

That's technically in Glen Oaks district, but I know for a fact there are some Central kids in that neighborhood.

Children’s Hospitals take more than children as we think of them, they can take patients into their 20’s.

It’s reported to not be a life threatening injury, so there wouldn’t be a need to go to a regular trauma center.

I wouldn't think the ambulance would pass up 2-3 other hospitals to bring an adult to a Children's hospital.

Coming from Brownsfield, they could've brought a patient north to Lane in Zachary, Mid-city BR General, Bluebonnet General or Essen OLOL quicker than the Children's Hospital between Bluebonnet and Siegen.
