Eat less carbs. Exercise. That’s it. Your HbA1c normalizes and you are no longer diabetic.
Is DM II really a mystery to people? Your pancreas works just fine. You produce insulin. Your cells just don’t respond to it like they used to because they are so used to having cake shoved down your fat gullet that they tell the insulin to frick off. But you can rectify that before it’s too late if you, the patient, just gives 1.5 shites about your own health.

Not angry, just trying to educate people who clearly don't have any insight into medical care. Everyone thinks they are an expert in other people's professions, I get it, I complain about lawyers every day but I probably don't understand the nuances of their everyday work.

At least chiropractors can fix people rather than give them a bunch of platitudes like "exercise more" like most doctors will. Many people have jobs where they can't go skiing in the alps and play golf 3 times a week like doctors and simply don't have time to exercise
At least chiropractors can make those people not hurt anymore, even if they have to come back once a month

Glad you doctors have so much time to put together hit piece sites while chiropractors are busy helping people

Just because people use the terms doctor and physician interchangeably doesn't mean that they are the same thing. All physicians are doctors, but not all doctors are physicians.

This sounds like that pain scale doctors use. My cousin was in the hospital with his fibromyalgia suffering and in severe pain and none of the doctors would give him fibro medicine or write him another script for it because they said he shouldn't be high on the "pain scale"!

I hate to admit that I visit the poli board from time to time but his posts there are exactly what you’re describing and I usually get a good laugh out of them.

I admit to visiting chiros. Lower back injuries, neck injuries, sports injuries, what not. The chiro has helped and I'm not big on pain pills. He does have a device where nodes are attached to your area of pain, and the machine runs thru a program of needle-like activity. The dial is cranked up as much as you can physically take. He told me some elderly get hooked up, get dialed up, and flop around like fish on a pier.
He may be the same guy mentioned itt on Vets. He's an attorney too.

To equate anything chiros do in their office to the severity and complexity of disease seen in a hospital is laughable. Your statement has no place in this conversation
My statement was in reponse to the idiotic scare tactic quoted in the OP stating that chiropracy had been linked to death. The point is, that is a poor standard for whether a treatment has utility or not.
People saying all chiropractors are quacks or that it's all BS are ignorant. That's all.

Well the cracking of the vertebrae thing isnt a medical service as much as its like asking your little brother to walk on your back.
I crack my own back all the time. As much as 10 times a day. It feels good but I dont know if it really relieves pain. My take on it is that if it works, do you really need peer review? I mean, if you want a deeper understanding of how or why it works, then yes. We didnt know the how or why of fire for most of our existence so does that mean we should have stopped using it?
If they are causing other problems then they need to be checked but thats not what I gather. Everyone that I know that goes to one enjoys the experience so I dont really care if they are getting any actual medical relief. Bitches go to Earthsavers and drop dough on mud baths, warming stone bullshite and aromatherapy. Its their money, if they want to spend it on placebos or a massage then more power to them.

Its hilarious that people get upset at doctors for "throwing a prescription at you", but that's exactly why you went to see the doctor. You aren't going to be happy unless you leave the office with something that you think will make your problem go away quicker. I've literally had people want to sue me because I wouldn't give them an antibiotic.
Somehow you know why I'm going to see a doctor?? I'm speaking from my own (limited) experiences with physicians. I make it a point to ask directly the root cause may be of whatever ailment I may be suffering from, and have never received any worthwhile response, or even an attempt at a dialogue about lifestyle or preventive measures I am taking. The impression I get is that I am somehow bothering them with my inquiries, and they are perturbed that I would even question their immense knowledge on all things health.
I get that the other side of the spectrum is that some patients have already devised a 'google diagnosis' of their problem, and I am guilty of that as well. All they have to do is politely refute my assertion and explain why I am wrong. Instead I get condescension. And before anyone responds, "well then see another doctor", I have not returned to any that do not at least engage in constructive conversation. End rant...
