Would you like Primary Care docs to go to their patients' houses and cook meals for them and help them exercise and stop them from smoking? I mean type 2 diabetes has a cure...often times so does HLD, HTN, gout, PAD, etc. that requires no pills...our patients are lazy and have no self control. So you treat it in order to control their disease with the tools available and allow them to continue to live their lives without dying as early as nature would like them to.

yes, any respectable PhD is going to do what they can to provide instant relief from whatever ailment. I also have had every PhD genuinely concerned to do what they could to prevent reoccurring visits for the same issue. There was a long term goal to fix the problem
I suspect that if you find a doctor who has a passion for what he does, this is true. Too many doctors have zero empathy for the patient and treat them like herded cattle. They want a quick, easy diagnosis that they can prescribe a pill for and see you back in 6 months so that they can move on to the next person in line.

Chiropractors are the only medical doctors that are true spine and neck experts. Surgeons basically will cut on you to where you can't feel your nerves and neuro guys will put you on pills.
Chiropractors actually take the time to examine you and find out what the problem is and then adjust it out. Honestly they are by far the most trustworthy of the medical specialties in that area

Maybe a chiropractor could help your cousin out with his fibromyalgia.
Posted on 11/8/17 at 12:23 pm to boosiebadazz
He actually went to a chiropractor about his fibromyalgia and the chiro was the only doctor who was honest and said he needed a pain specialist. All the spine and neuro guys tried to do a bunch of cat scans and mris to run up a big bill!

Sad when “doctors” mess with a patience health just for the $$$

If doctors were just honest and tried to fix their patients without putting them through the ringer sure their boats might be a few feet smaller but people would trust them more

I have a muscle in the lower part of my left hand side of my back that gets locked normally after certain strenuous activity. I have used both PT and Chiro. My chiro can massage the locked up muscle out just as well as the PT .....for $300 less.
I get instant relief from mine. Then I go about renewing my stretching routine to keep the pain at bay. They're good for that type treatment.
fwiw - Stretching out daily is critical to prevention in my case.

Traditional medicine is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US.
Yea ur right. We should let chiropractors manage patients with acute heart attacks, strokes, sepsis, and severe trauma... They would be the number 1 cause of death in the US by a long shot
To equate anything chiros do in their office to the severity and complexity of disease seen in a hospital is laughable. Your statement has no place in this conversation

Go to a PT...much better and don't call themselves Doctors even though they have doctorates in physical therapy.
They do not. Most have either a bachelors or a masters.

This is the problem I have with Western medicine. Surgeons are sometimes great and fixing things, but largely, there is no focus on preventing or solving issues
Most doctors know how to prevent things like diabetes, high blood pressure, certain cancers, etc.
Exercise, healthy diet, stop smoking... You tell patients that stuff and it goes in one ear out the other. No one in this country listens to that shite. "Eastern medicine" doesn't have to deal with the lifestyles of western citizens.

Alternative Medicine.
The only reason chiropractic doctors are considered "alternative" is because the MD mafia uses their big money to pay off politicians to pass laws against chiropractors

And we should trust the medical advice of someone who can't spell "yeah" and "your" correctly? Why would a chiropractor treat a heart attack anyway? They are spine and neck specialists as I said before

Oh I didn't realize this was a medical consult. Next time I will check my grammar.
You obviously don't understand what I'm saying. Stating the number of deaths due to medical errors should have no place in this conversation. When you give people massages all day of course you aren't going to have alot of adverse events. Take care of patients with serious life threatening diseases that require extended stays in a hospital and yea you are going to see alot of adverse events.

Maybe you had some bad experience with an MD before, I don't know your story, but putting your health in the hands of a chiro for anything other than a soft tissue injury is asinine.

By 2020, all physical therapy programs must be Doctorate level. Most PTs who graduated within the past 10 years have doctorates. Practicing PTs who were already licensed were grandfathered in to be able to continue practicing.

People believe doctors are like mechanics.
You have high blood pressure? Just pull right in for a 30 min appointment and we'll change a part and you'll be back to the shape you were in when you strolled out of the dealership (vagina).

100%
When you give people the diet, exercise, stop smoking talk they think they got ripped off.
"You mean there isn't a pill to fix this? I actually have to make sacrifices?"
Its hilarious that people get upset at doctors for "throwing a prescription at you", but that's exactly why you went to see the doctor. You aren't going to be happy unless you leave the office with something that you think will make your problem go away quicker. I've literally had people want to sue me because I wouldn't give them an antibiotic.
People in this country are just different. Trying to compare it to a European or eastern culture doesn't work
