i'm seeing many of the dumbest people i know homeschooling their kids

There's a few like that in my hometown.

I guess it boils down to the Dunning-Kruger effect. People with lower ability in a given area like critical thinking, education, or basic reasoning will overestimate their competence because they lack the self-awareness to see their own gaps.

I was homeschooled BTW. My mom is a very smart lady and did a good job of it so it's not her fault that I'm retarded.

It’s sad that you don’t have any business of your own to mind.

Yeah my mom is a nurse practitioner and my dad is an engineer. Both of them are very well read. I remember my mom spent most of her time studying up on the best ways to teach us and shite like that. My dad would help us with math in the evenings after he got home from work.

I was repeatedly assured that these measles cases were all illegals.

Then you’d have to believe a close community of mennonites are spread across 9 counties in Texas and they are the only ones with measles.

And that the cases in New Mexico are also this close community of mennonites.

quote:

and there was a rise in cases in 2024, including an outbreak in Chicago that sickened more than 60.

I guess those damn mennonites made it up to Chicago too.

And prob the most important part.

quote:

The death was a “school-aged child who was not vaccinated” and had been hospitalized last week, the Texas Department of State Health Services said Wednesday in a statement. Lubbock health officials also confirmed the death, but neither agency provided more details.

No mention at all that this kid that died is a Mennonite.

Except for NC, all states that have the highest per capita of illegals have the largest outbreak of measles. Alaska, California, Georgia, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York City, and Texas. Funny how that is.

You can't do 2 hours of internet research and decide which vaccines are valid and which ones aren't. We are so fortunate as a society to have the best research universities on planet Earth. The geniueses at Harvard, Stanford & Johns Hopkins aren't twisting their mustahces while plotting your demise. They have dedicated their lives to saving you and your kids. Listen to them.

Were you fricking alive 5 years ago. All these "experts" lied to us over and over again.

Did a close knit community in West Texas catch it out of thin air? It got into the community somehow.

Sounds like a great reason to vaccinate

The world is too complicated to be an expert in everything, even if you are a genius.

I can guarantee you this: Your doctor is not an expert in each vaccine. Your doctor has years of medical training and understands the basics of vaccines, but he only follows standard medical practice and recommendations. And there is a very high likelihood he prescribes pharmaceuticals based solely on financial incentives, not what is the best for you.

Do you know the "standard" is to give infants the covid MRNa shots now? Our pediatrician advised against it, but he explained the standard to us. Said most pediatricians push the standard regimen of shots without question.

You are a fool if you blindly trust people who tell you they are experts.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed this is the first measles death in the country since 2015.

Followed the reemergence of measles in the US in 2014 which also was part of anllowed surge of illegal border crossings.

States along border, destination states for illegals, and schools districts in general that allow parents to opt kids out of vaccinations have to factor in surges in illegal immigrants into their policies. The past 4 years of record numbers of illegals allowed in by Biden without medical records have lessened herd immunity and also brought in both new and old diseases. Schools are not the only place where interactions between kids and kids and adults take place.

The same rethinking and recalculating for people who are anti-vaccine (all vaccines not just covid mRNAs). They have relied on certain diseases being effectively eliminated in the US which has not been the case since Obama and isn’t going to correct itself overnight just because Trump is enforcing border laws. There are more in the US from just the past 4 years than most news will report.

Nothing in that article states the child was a Mennonite, was from or ever had been in a Mennonite community.

The article mentions an unvaccinated west Texas kid died of measles, and its later mentions measles is spreading in the Mennonite community.

OP is a lying twat or cannot read or both.

why? My mind is made up

Lets take a gamble on a vaccine EVERY year - that has stuff like formaldehyde in it - no thanks

And I’ll repeat - just because it’s fda approved doesn’t mean it’s not harmful
You have a hard time following a conversation. You asked what's in the vaccine. He sent you a link that showed what's in the vaccines. That's it. You're blabbing about fda approved and other shite.

39 cases of measles among children younger than 5. There has been one death. That is a childhood fatality percentage of 2.5%. Awfully damn high for a preventable disease.

I think it’s worth noting that kids of that age catching measles will have brain impairment later in life. That is something doctors currently can’t treat yet

I trust pediatricians because they specialize versus generic physicians. If I’m not confident in what they recommend I get a second opinion.

i think a lot of people in this thread hear the word mennonite and picture an old man in a suit riding a buggy...there is no one size fits all with mennonites, just the same as any other group...my father was a mennonite from a very long line of mennonites, but he (and his siblings and cousins) went to public school, held jobs "in the world", and you wouldn't have known they were mennonite if you knew them casually...they didn't live in a mennonite community...he married my mom who was catholic, although that wasn't a big hit with his parents

also, when you hear the term "conservative mennonites", that is not related to politics...it means religiously conservative...more likely to live in small communities and not interact with outsiders unless absolutely necessary...such conservative mennonites are less likely to vote, because they consider themselves "in the world, but not of the world"...

Anti-vaxxers, by and large, are extremely stupid.
Any knowledge (lol) they have, they picked up on Facebook. (Covid vax kills college athletes!!1!1)
