So nothing in their lives has changed at all except they won’t be able to get govt cheese electronically

You don’t think they’re one and the same? That’s cute.

The ones who really benefit from this will be the used car salesmen and such in these areas after these people blow all that cash

I am surprised so many of them had Chase accounts. Usually, people scummy enough to do this have those online-only bank cards like Chime. Then when they overdraw that account they jump over to SoFi and so on.

Yep, in the end we all render unto Caesar, and it is always best to deal with authority figures honestly.

I’m sure chase will go after it but I’m gonna go ahead and say they won’t recover even close to what they lost

It almost seems like a certain segment of the population doesn't care about maintaining the level of mutual trust and decent behavior that's necessary to keep things from devolving into anarchy.

Even if Chase doesn’t get the money back, these idiots should be serving significant prison time even if they pay the money back. It’s fraud and then they should be charged with conspiracy to commit fraud charges on everyone of them that posted or pushed out for others to do it.

Spend the rest of their lives in jail for knowingly defrauding others.

Then put liens on their relatives as well. They will learn the lesson real fast.

Those dudes singing Vanessa Carlton make me lean to being pro reparations. Money turned those dudes into delightful, goofy bastards.

if you knowingly spend money that isn’t yours you are a thief and deserve prison time.

All of my employees use those. And none have a drivers license due to unpaid tickets and back child support.

Why exactly would you perform fraud against an institution that has your full name, addresses, and probably even social security number. They are going to come after every single dollar, and then probably add interest.

You spent money that wasn't yours. It really isn't hard to understand IF you want to.

The type of folks taking advantage of this aren't going to be capable of paying the money back. Chase is going to lose a good chunk of change here

Chase will lose money here, but these people aren't getting off Scott free. They will struggle to ever open another bank account. If they get a bank account, they're going to be stuck with having their wages garnished.

How is that? What’s an example of the bank fricking up but it’s your fault?
