What does that mean? I've always had bad experiences with dogs, going back to childhood where I was chased down, knocked off my bike and bitten by a German Shepherd. The first time, but far from the last, that a dog behaved terribly towards me. I've never had any problems from cats. At best, I can tolerate a good dog, and I like beagles a lot. Cats and I see eye to eye and get along swimmingly.

Both have utility. Both are disgusting if kept inside, but some people need emotional support.
Dogs are better to take a walk with or keep coyotes away, cats are better entertainment watching them hunt and eliminating mice and voles.

Yep cats are the way to go and they don’t eat shite that requires a trip to the ER vet. Their bones are stronger too.

If you prefer cats, you are liberal and have pronouns on your bio. Just a fact. Dogs are more to care for but retrun that care 100xs over. Its not even close. Your dog will die for you, your cat sucks and could care less if your come back home or not.

That tells me people are getting pets just to say they have a pet to put in their instagram and dont really want a pet at all. Thats why they prefer cats. That’s what scratching post are for. If they still hit your furniture you swat the shite out of them. I had a problem with one but it was door trim not furniture. Took a good year to fix him but finally got a good hit on the arse while in process of scratching door and he quit.
