He was a band teacher... People might not have known for sure he was gay... but there were signs..

This is a First Amendment issue. The school has the right to follow its religious principles.

I mean, he’s a male band director. No one should be surprised he turned out to be gay. Aren’t all male band directors at least somewhat gay?

Honestly I think the Christian Brothers model of separating the boys and girls in middle school should be enacted on a larger scale. Imo the school system in general is a problem bc it expects little boys to suppress their normal rambunctious nature so they can be more easily managed in class.

100%. This isn’t a problem limited to SFX. I went to St. Ann and can remember my dad not being happy about how they treated the boys. This was decades ago
IMO the boys high schools should start in 6th grade. Boys need to be in a different environment in general.

Its a religious school. Homosexuality is a sin. He practices it. He cant work there, any more than you could serve pork chops for lunch at a Madrassa.

The issue with the band director isn’t that he’s attracted to males. It’s that he is openly living a gay lifestyle, had a “husband”, etc.
If you find a Catholic priest who openly has a “husband” and is still allowed to serve as a priest, go to the news with that bombshell.
