That is absolutely absurd that it has continued to strengthen like that

I know Jeff has done this many times, but man he is going to be in the eye wall of 180 mph in a few hours. If his equipment holds up, he's going to have some great video.

Is it unusual for the plane to be still circling in the eye wall like this?
Posted on 10/28/25 at 8:14 am to CarolinaGamecock99
Any other streamers down where the eyewall is supposed to make landfall?

And he’ll still be screaming about how there’s 250 mph winds 10,000 ft above him.

Winds in Kingston are only 30 gusting to 47. Hopefully everyone hauled arse to that side of the island.

The coast is starting to get into the north eyewall now.

The extreme winds are in a very narrow band. Even the hurricane force wind field isn’t very wide. Hopefully they were smart enough to move people east.

Yeah, this is a very compact system and Hurricane force winds will be confined to a small area.

One of the most powerful Atlantic hurricanes in basically November.
Crazy shite.
Crazy shite.

everyone says "small victory" and it is kind of trite most times - but in this instance, it has a lot of truth to it - the fact the bad winds are that compact is a small victory.
