I have no desire to go on a cruise but that has nothing to do with the China flu

Agreed. I've actually never been on one and have no intention of going on one (maybe a European river cruise on a smaller boat that I get off of every day).

The concern isn’t catching covid19 aboard the ship....

The concern is getting quarantined at sea for 14+ days if one person boards the ship with covid19.

Why would anyone be dumb enough to go on a cruise when you have to socially distance?

Even without this, I still haven't forgotten what happened on the Triumph. Absolutely no desire to ever get on a cruise again.

Before all of this started I was already under the impression that cruise ships were huge incubators, like Chuck E. Cheeses of the sea.

Same here. We have one booked for Mardi Gras week of 2022. I figured if that one gets cancelled because of this virus then we’ve got bigger problems on our hands.

Authoritarians hate cruises because they mostly take place outside the reach of their iron fists, in international waters.

That's why any time someone so much as stubs a toe on a cruise ship, it turns into a slideshow on sites like MSN and Slate.com.

I never had a desire to get on a cruise ship before this pandemic and I dont plan on it after this all passes.

So this doesnt effect me whatsoever.
