Car warranty woes or why I dislike stealerships.

Have a bank owned work vehicle. It has an issue were rpms fluctuate by 250-500 rpms even at cruise control between 25-40 miles per hour.
I wait FOREVER for a appointment.
I drop van off Monday at 9am. At 4pm they call and say I have an egg in my tire. I explain that CANNOT cause the rpm flucuations. They say "Tire unsafe to drive on for testing". They quote me tires. Not that bad a price so I agree to four tires.
I have a rental van so I'm not on them.
I call Thursday because I haven't heard from them. They say "we were waiting on tires and they just came in". The tires they told me they had Monday.
This morning they called my assistant and told her it was fixed. They told her that "after changing the tires we found no further issues". They told me the same when I got it this afternoon.
I drive it. Feels great until it warms up. then problem returns.
I get home. Pull dash cam footage. They test drove it a total of 3 minutes, first thing in the morning without letting it warm up.
I'm out $400 on a rental van. $800 on tires and still have the same issue.

So go back and confront them.

I should be able to hear the sound of your dick hitting the counter from here.

Write them a strongly worded letter and then start a GoFundMe.

I picked van up right before they closed. I didn't have time to go back. First thing Monday morning I'll go in there. I know from doing repairs, going in hot and loud won't help. Just going to walk in with my tablet. Show them the video of the RPM flucuations. then the video of the test drive. Then explain that I know they drove the vehicle a total a 4 or 5 minutes after tire install.
I'm going right to the manager who told me today that he personally drove the car. Just going to calmly point out the lie.
That's all.

watching the video there was a noticeable vibration in the initial test drive before new tires. I 100% needed new tires. I planned to get them this weekend after the dealership.

Like, a literal shell and yolk egg?
Or did a woman menstruate on your tire?
I'm missing something here.

On the off chance you’re being serious, he means there was a lump (that looks vaguely egg-like) in the sidewall of his tire.

Talk to the General Manager or Principle of the dealership in person and not over the phone.

Sounds like Richards Honda out off of I12 service department. Brought my car in because it was overheating, the first day it got hot outside. They told me to bring it to nissan and i told them I did not buy it from nissan i bought it here. They fought with me about it until i bought it in and showed them the extra warranty i had bought. I waited from 8am until 5pm to finally get my car back. As i was driving home i went to blow my horn and it didn't work. They said they didn't touch the horn and that i would need to bring it to nissan to get it checked. I am convinced Them frickers unplugged my horn out of sheer childish pettiness.

In regards to your van issue, did you run seafoam through it? I have issues in my Acura with rpm fluctuations when I use shitty gas. A can of seafoam fixes it.

I’m assuming the tires were old? Or else why replace all 4 ?

Man, I love the feel of four fresh tires on a car.

The latest scam with Honda is to delay your appointment or claim supply issues with parts until just after your warranty runs out.

quote:Don't forget to calmly and rationally point out that liars inhabit Angola 24/7/365 and therefore the manager himself is no better than a convicted criminal inmate. The only lifeforms lower than liars are politicians and neither car dealers nor politicians add any value to life anywhere on the planet, that in fact those 2 categories are responsible for 99% of the world's problems.
Just going to calmly point out the lie.
Look down your nose in disappointment at every person not a customer in the place, like you smell your fart or something.Remind the other customers that everyone working there is a liar working for liars who should all be unemployed and yet would still be doing what they're doing, which is stealing from people.
Call the manager what he is: an oxygen thief.

Our local dealership has billboards asking to hire technicians of "any skill level". Their service dept is usually very good, and pretty much any job is done in a day. Now they are so shorthanded it takes much longer.
Dropped car Thursday morning for an issue; took until Friday afternoon to hook to computer to diagnose; part in they hope by Monday, and install on Tuesday. If we're lucky.
