Find an independent agent. Make him get you the cheapest company.

I pay Farm Bureau about $1300/yr for full coverage on 2 vehicles.

Yep - any recommendations?

The attorneys will be along soon to tell you it's not their fault. Of course, they can't identify a fault, but it's defiantly not them.

Try Geico. Sometimes they are cheaper.

So either I chose the wrong insurance company or you guys pay a lot for car insurance. Is this a normal rate?
We pay a lot. Reason #962,956 why jobs/companies won't move here and jobs/companies leave here.

4 cars, 2 teens, one at fault accident from my 18 year old son = $12,000 a year.......

Geico is cheaper probably 75% of the time and they're a decent company. Highly recommend for auto insurance but stay far away from their homeowners insurance products.

I figure I should be able to retire by 80 or so, depending on my Powerball prospects.

I've seen a few articles recently that tries to claim that tort reform and getting the injury attorneys reigned in wouldn't result in lower insurance rates.
I think that's probably BS.
Doing something about all of the losers in our state driving around without insurance would probably help a lot too.

You didn't know this kind of info before moving to another state?
