Wear a tie to the wedding, then use it as a head band at the reception.

Since you're asking, it seems you lack the ability to have nicer suits/shirts that were designed to be worn sans tie.
And, most of those are only pulled off by taller leaner men.

And I guess you need to judge the crowd expected to be there. I'd you're sister is marrying your cousin in the backyard in Alabama, you could pull it off.

If you're a scrawny dude, yes. If you have a tree trunk neck and 3'across at the shoulders like me, no.
