Mine is 15 years old, BUT hasn't been able to run on auto for the last 9-10.
The control board had a problem and every Generac "Dealer" from Slidell to BR has told me its trash now and a new board will cost nearly $800. I've also had these "Dealers" each tell me several different things that are wrong with it, but aren't.

So, now I pull the fuse in the panel when not needed and manually start it when I do. Runs fine that way, but so does my Predator generator on wheels.

Not super expensive but a Weber kettle. Only sissies smoke with pellets.

A few years ago I needed a hitch mounted cargo basket. I bought one from a company called Pak Mule out of Texas. Worth every penny. Super well made and light aluminum construction. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

It’s crazy how little inflation has impacted tennis shoes. As a kid 20 years ago, $100 was the transition from reasonable to expensive running shoes, and that’s roughly still the limit. I always wanted New Balance 990s and they were in the $150 range back then.

Custom 3 piece center console. Pair Customs.
There are some decent 2 piece production boats but there are so many they depreciate rapidly. I took a beating on these.

I paid a little more, designed it the way I wanted, had to wait a year to be built. The general boat market is crap right now but Pair still has a wait list. Low volume boats hold their value much better.

3 piece boats with a heavy layup schedule are so different than even a high end 2 piece as far as ride. I can’t make it shudder.

Have you been happy with your genny?

Absolutely. I live outside of Houston. Plumbed directly to my gas line.

Between the 2 weeks of no power after the derecho and 10 days after the hurricane, I love it like a son.

Had it now for 5 years. No problems. Paid for the professional install and maintenance - but there are no regrets when the power goes out.

In addition to quality firearms, I’d definitely say a quality scope. It sucks spending all the time and money hunting to finally get the chance to see a nice buck and not be able to make the shot because of poor optics.

The ones you see for $100 at academy are cheap garbage, Unfortunately the ones made in Boston are $200 these days.
