You would think that the bus would have had more front end damage. I guess that explains the physics behind why we avoid getting hit by a bus

If you think about it, it’s really amazing that people are willing to just jump on a bus or get in a taxi and hand your safety over to someone with unknown qualifications. At least on a plane there are two licensed people up there keeping an eye on each other.

4 years ago I was at a pretty busy intersection that looks like a T. I was in the straight section trying to turn left at a green light. I had to wait a few seconds because they I had quite a few cars passing. I saw a pick up truck coming behind me and he wasn’t slowing down. I took my foot off the break and hit the gas trying to outrun him. I was going maybe 5-10 miles an hour. He absolutely crushed the back of my SUV. I always say I helped myself by getting my momentum at least going forward. I still get nervous at some red lights.
